Wow, an amazing job from everyone involved (scatters Exalts about). The time from concept to release of the Trollszine was next to nothing and you turned out a high quality product. I've only skimmed through it so far, but it is full of great content. Catching my eye immediately was the table for selling weapons and armor and the solo. I really liked your concept for the solo adventure cartomancer; I always like to have a reason why my character is entering a dark crypt. I'm planning on making a foray into the tomb tomorrow.

I have to agree, this is great. The turn around time was actually surprising, I honestly expected you to take longer. To often such a yeoman's job goes by unremarked so, Zanshin, Quoghmyre, thank you so very much in putting this together. The care you took is evident in the quality of the pages. I also wish to thank all the authors and artists who contributed. I've only read a few articles so far but I'm really looking forward to delving into the rest.
As far as the file size goes, I'm happy with the print quality size. Perhaps discussion could be had to offer two versions of each issue: one of print quality sizing and one compressed for quick download?

Excellent Danhem, do let me know how you get on. The more feedback i get on my writing style, what people liked in the solo and what they didn't the stronger the adventures will become. I've been busy beavering away tonight on another short (but longer than Saxon) solo that i hope to get out and about as soon as possible. I'm about 30 paragraphs in so far and i'd say there's about another 80 to go on it. It's not as structured as Saxon but i think it could provide a few cheap laughs (well free laughs) and some adventure for a delver. I also have another one i'm working on that's on the back burner because it got out of hand (it's close to 200 paragraphs so far and i was aiming for short!). If anyone is at all curious or interested, Blood War at Saxon is based on the second session i ever GM'd for Warhammer Quest. It was a random sandbox affair but all the dice rolls and cards drawn told a very definite story. This is that story (with some aspects removed to stop the PC's dying every 5 minutes). Oh, whilst i think about it too, the turn around was only 2 hours from starting the writing to the completed item. Just goes to show that what can be achieved in a short period of time. If anyone does like it and, wants to create there own adventure i'd be more than happy to offer whatever help i can. :0).

I can't wait to see the feedback from other places, such as RPG.net, Dragonsfoot and so on... Warm glow of awesomness. Knocks Hobbit Hole into a tin hat.

machfront: most of the art was provide at print quality, and I tried not to compress any thing. We wanted you to have this in all its finery. We will be having a debrief over the next week or so and will be providing a submitter guide for both articles and art. This will address such things as dpi and file size. If the current size is a problem, please let us know and we will provide a smaller version. Oh, nah, man. It's not a 'problem' per say. I don't know anything at all 'bout how this stuff is done. My question was one of curiosity and confusion mainly because of my ignorance on the matter, tha's all. I just had to wonder as, for just one example of many, my pdf of QUERP Modern is print quality (high quality in general), all of it's art are full-color photos and digital art, is 74 pages and it's file size is 2.81 Megs. EDIT: Oh, and by the way, you deserve an Exalt!, so you're getting one whether you like it or not!

Oh, i just had a thought guys. Has anyone got links to the threads on other boards (RPG.net etc) relating to issue one and public responces?
It'd be nice if we could centralise it here to how it goes down. :0).

I would be happy to do so, but i'm not going into promotion mode until we have lulu or RPG Now hosting, so that it is clearly out in the public domain.
I also tried uploading it to bluefrog tavern at Yahoo, but it seemed too big - it kept timing out. I am very happy foranyone else to try to upload it there.

mgtremaine: could you please not do that. We don't have permission from some of the artists to do that, and we don't want to offend anyone.
If you want to shrink it for your own use, sure thing, but please don't post it online!
This issue is the size it is, sorry but them's the breaks. Next Issue we will look at the size issue!

Soon trolls everywhere will be saying "Outlaw who?!!!" Now there's a solo for you: Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to sneak into the Purloined Publication's warehouse. There you must find and retrieve the Troll God's missing manuscripts. While there, if you should happen to find other manuscripts belonging to other essayist's you are welcome to retireve them as well. There may be a reward for each manuscript returned to it's original author. If you are discovered, well, you'll probably be dead already so don't worry about it. This scroll will trigger an Explosive Rune when you have finished the end of this sentence. Cue: [echoplexOn] Delver Impossible!
