An outline by Quogmyre. Any queries please pm me or post below for clarification.
Thank you for submitting your art for TrollsZine.
Here are a few guidelines to help us all.
As you can see in Issue 1, we will include you in the credits listing with your copyright statement. You retain all rights over your work.
We also require a brief bio to include in the Contributors section.
Please Include these details in the covering email:
Your Name: The name you wish to have your work credited to, real or Troll The File Name: Something unique and meaningful is better, about 8 characters.
The Copyright Year: 2010 is good
A Brief Bio: This is something about you, art and T&T Contact Details: Web and/or Email and any other contacts you wish to include.
For Inclusion With: If your art is to be included with an specific article please include the Title and Author.
If you could also supply your art in the following format.
File Type: PNG, note JPG is a lossy format.
Resolution: 150 dpi, this gives a reasonable print quality and is good for onscreen reading.
Alpha or Transparency: Please include an alpha channel to allow text wrap where required, you can provide a plain white background to shape the text wrap. The text will wrap at about 12pt from the white border.
Scaling: Please ensure the work fits into an A4 page. If at all possible I will not scale your work, and then only downward. Fitting the art work into the remaining white space is always difficult. The larger the size the more difficult it is to include it. The smaller the pieces the more we need, so we need a balance of work at all sizes.
If for some reason you are unable to do this, that's ok, but I will need to edit your art along these guide lines.
Once your work is ready you will be able to upload it to my iDisk and then send a covering email to Dan AND myself. We had problems with emails and files going missing so this will ensure that doesn’t happen again.
If you have a problem with any of our edits we will immediately remove the work, until the issue is resolved. There will be a 1 week proofing time before general release. Please do not release this proofing copy, and delete it once the final is posted.
Finally, the quality of the TrollsZine is only as good as the content you submit. We have made a fantastic start! If you have any concerns or problems, please do no hesitate to contact me. There is an email and PM link right beside this message.
