Bily, do you have some samples? It's not a case where we need floor plans for the magazine, but the "inserts" intrigues me.

I mainly work with fine line pens, then scan and add colour on the computer. I think I was thinking about mini-maps, like player hand-outs. My floor plans adapt well to be being shrunk, and then I stick them on a scroll/parchment graphic. (I was playing with the idea of designs for map covered mug: fav.me/d32sql2 ) However, talking of "inserts", like a lot of folk, I'm quite at home doodling small objects - scrolls, weapons, jewellery and potions for paragraph breakers, I had some recent work doing "page adornments" for the company which uses some of my art/tiles for its map editor: rustyaxe.com/apps/dd/screenShots/pageAdornments.jpg - The examples there are a bit scrappy, I can draw finer! (I'm a big fan of b/w line art art in Fighting Fantasy books, especially the little pictures between the sections - along with adoring Danforth's gems and objects in T&T5). I don't currently have a fantasy game art portfolio but random sketchy pieces can be found in my Deviant Art gallery billiambabble.deviantart.com/gallery/ (amongst the cartoony dinosaur monsters!) I was thinking about putting together some stock art packs and selling them for peanuts of RPGNow. One is going to be a dragon head pack: fav.me/d31bxylWizard's notes type stuff: A sort of Kenku/Tengu: fav.me/d32r61g a very old page on wyverns fav.me/dn6tw3Recent examples of detail/line work for my-soon-to-be-ready 'tombs pack: inkedadventures.com/main/?p=223Of course for illustrations - things like coffins/chests would be actually 3D. I'll be honest I'm not too great at drawing humanoids at the moment - I mainly prefer objects, scenery, details, scrawls, inscriptions, maps, things with scales - but I'm looking for a challenges which will expand my repertoire, so if you have a last minute missing art brief, or a current artist has been wounded in a accident involving a faulty art tablet and fizzy drinks, sometimes I can step in, and I'm sure the stick-men/stick-trolls, might be better than nothing. ;D I'm very flexible if I get to retain rights to art - I can draw little bits for free for "publication kudos" , and then I can dream about reselling the art as stock, or at least building a portfolio and experience.

I like the look of what you have... For TZ, specifically, I need contextual stuff to go with articles and sceneries to bridge the spaces between and around. I like the dragon head - I can use stuff like that for sure.
Let me throw you this bone - put together a half- or full-page ad for your stuff that features it in a montage, along with appropriate contact information, and I'll stick that in for sure. You're a T&T player, member, and contributor, you get to advertise your stuff no charge.
Thanks!

I just wanted to say I dig your stuff, BiLy. The wyverns reminded me very much of the Fighting Fantasy books as well as Josh Kirby's stuff in the Corgi T&T books.

With all this back slapping, I'm wondering when TZ4 will be ready for download Uhm... Most of the articles have been edited and reviewed by at least two editors. I've gotten no response on my request for convention and gaming group information. And we're working on getting new cover art because the pic that Dan sent us to use isn't new - it's been available up on the web for a couple months, at least. Also, I'm not particularly convinced we have enough internal artwork. I have lots of great pics, but the entire library of zombie pics that Jeff Freels provided doesn't do us much good since there's not a single article about zombies. However, with what we have, I'm going to try to start working on layout over the next week, and see what comes together.

With all this back slapping, I'm wondering when TZ4 will be ready for download I'd give it about 3 months from hand over. That's about how long TZ 1, 2 and 3 took.

No, we were running to a quarterly timetable. It took 3 weeks from getting the files proofed.

I'd venture to say we're not adhering to a schedule, but we do have our goals. Unfortunately, my goal ain't gonna happen, but Dekh's goal is looking more and more realistic... Kind of hinges on what happens this next weekend - it's a 4-day holiday here in the U.S. (Thanksgiving), but since don't have much in the way of family committments, my wife's been talking about heading out of town for a day or two.
