Have one from me as well. I was just trying to work out a reasonable way to award AP for defeating NPC's. This fits the bill - find the equivalent MR and Bingo!

Have one from me as well. I was just trying to work out a reasonable way to award AP for defeating NPC's. This fits the bill - find the equivalent MR and Bingo! That might give commensurate results when main threat of an NPC is its capacity for straight-up combat, but Wizards and others make trickier foes. The 7.5 rules say use the sum of STR, CON and INT (p104), which is consistent with the 5th edition method. With this as my guide, I use the sum of the three highest ability scores, because characters tend to use their strengths. Ie., a Wizard with 100 Wz is a pretty tough foe, and worth a lot more AP than a Wizard with 13 Wz, even if they both have the same Strength and Constitution.

We{ve simply used Hit Dice X 10 or 15. It works well enough at most levels...then it kinda breakes down so i use the time honored science of guesstimation.
