My edition of Traps, purchased in the US, had that mono cover. If and when Traps book one is rereleased, perhaps I'll sell the old one to a collector.

My "UK" edition states it was published under licence by Strategy Games Ltd. I've never seen a comparable U.S. Edition, but it does seem to have been edited for the UK market (different layout and illustrations I believe). I have a feeling the early solos got the same treatment, but at least from 5th we seem to have got the same edition as everyone else. I believe that sort of thing was quite common at the time. My contemporaneous edition of TOG was published under licence by Games Workshop, who have subsequently done quite well (!) With their own line of games. The UK had at least 2 different local reprinters for T&T. GW had licenses to print AD&D, Traveller, RuneQuest III, and several others. Some, like RQ III, had much nicer editions in the UK.
