The illustrations used in this book were drafted and initially generated by a professional artist using the commercial version of the Midjourney tool, then manually manipulated, assembled, corrected, and processed in post-production by the same artist. No artist names were used in prompts. All illustrations were paid for at the RPG market rate.Interesting! Already seen one comment in the Drive Thru RPG comments about this. For myself I have no qualms about where artwork comes from so long as it's good and legal (let's not go into what went on a while back...). Intend to purchase the PDF (when payday comes around, money is tight when you're on strike...) but can anyone tell me what the colour coverage is like in the book? I tend to print/bind them myself but if it's full colour on every page may be better off buying the POD version in a few months when it's updated/errata'd. Well I just got it. lost of nice white pages. Obvious coloured pictures. If you look at: www.drivethrurpg.com/product/436145/The-Lair-of-the-Leopard-Empresses-RPGAnd download the Full-sized review. that might help you get an idea.

NP Sarah: Eh, another question, I know you using a map that you (had) used for Trollworld, but on it is still a mention of Khavad and Phoros (once Phoron on old map). Are we to presume a connection with Trollworld or is it still to be erased? Yes, if a moderator could do that?, and perhaps if you could create a post? Hi Niall, No, there's no connection whatsoever to Trollworld or T&T - LAIR is a Monsters! Monsters! licensed RPG and Ximuria is completely its own separate world. There are mentions of Zimrala, of course, and perhaps some deeper connection (who knows?). Lorihotep at the least seems to have travelled from there! Of course, what you do in your own games is entirely your choice! Your Ximuria Will Vary! All the best, Sarah

Okay, so ignore the reference? Might have been better to erase mention of Khavad on map!

Okay, so ignore the reference? Might have been better to erase mention of Khavad on map! Khavad is a town in India. Is it also in Trollworld? I didn't know! I've certainly never seen it. Perhaps you mean Khazan?

Yeah, they changed Khazad to Khavad, the Dwarven Island for DT&T edition. From DT&T:Isle of Khavad: Most dwarves are not sailors, but one clan had a strong presence in the western oceans. This is the ancient home of those sea dwarves. I was concerned for your copyright, but if it a place in India, yer safe. Khazan is another Village it would seem also. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KhazanCannie lose!

Great minds think alike in that case! Rest assured they're not the same *at all*. Nor is the Ximurian version a town in India.

Ah good stuff... Got to say loving the presentation, pictures, etc., the Callings and Spells. I just flicking through it, but thinking it well prepared and those of us that play T&T or M!M! will adapted with ease. And the vast variaty of Kin... Busy, busy, busy, see ya later...

Looks doable (from a printing point of view and reading). Too many books these days have full colour background, even a parchment style look that makes every page brown and hard to read. Ugh. At 399 pages I'd end up splitting that into two or three books for ease of handling. I've printed Monsters! Monsters! and Monsterary of Zimrala with the intention of combining into a single tome (just got to figure out what to do with the cover). It's a fairly thick tome so I'll have to see how it comes out...

I usually copy and create PDFs of Regions, Classes (Callings) and Cultures, so I not scrolling through book to find stuff, I working at regions at present...

Well, I tried to resist, but this is a really nice implementation of the M!M!/T&T rules. Setting is very cool, and not a cut & paste.Trigger pulled.

Order placed. Paws crossed DriveThru and the POD service doesn't collapse from the overload.

And we have our first Erratum! May I offer a second? I may be reading things wrong, and I'm only looking at the preview, so, rather cheeky of me to suggest, but page 28 of the preview shows Kangnar's character sheet. The combat adds don't line up with the listed attributes. Unless my math is off, we're two points high, 5 for STR and 2 for LUK. As far as the rest of it goes, Sarah, this is a very well done presentation. I'm going to have to think on adding this to my collection.

Yes, if a moderator could do that? Easily done and no objections from me. Any concerns, mahrundl ? Creating a sub-forum in the Monsters! Monsters! section is simple enough from an admin viewpoint.

Hi Prof Gremlin, Thank you for the kind words - I hope you do add LAIR to your collection! The adds on Kangnar's character sheet are in fact correct - he gets +5 for STR, +2 for LK, and +2 for his Combat Training special ability, for a total of +9. All the best, Sarah
