Hmm. I never saw anywhere in any of the CoT books I have about which edition to use. Doing a quick flip through of various stats and monsters used, they're the same in all 3 for the ones I checked this morning. As for Zaarg, yeah 3 dice in combat.

It's on the copyright page it reads +10 MR and use weapons and armor dice and hits from the book.
-Mike
Added: My OCR just finished it reads as
This solitaire adventure was designed under earlier editions of Tunnels & Trolls. If you are using the 5th Edition and wish to return the balance of play,
1 ) Add 10 to all monster ratings given 2 ) Weapons identified by name may be given the number of dice & adds listed for them in the new Edition.
Which is standard verbage for all the Solo's released during the 4TH edition time period.

Oh yeah, I see it now. It doesn't say that in the color cover version. The monster ratings are still the same though from what I can see (though honestly I didn't check every single paragraph since there are like 400). I think this was because (and this discussion has been had here on the bridge as well) that when they came out with the new edition of T&T, they felt they needed to revise solos with different MRs. And then it was found that was unnecessary, as the difficulty was fine as is. And I believe they even retracted that statement in some solo forewords.
So generally, I and many others ignore any of those edition revision text. And some of them don't even say it in later editions.

Hmm what about when it lists a weapon with the wrong dice+adds. Like 5A lists a Bec De Corbin 5 dice were 5th Edition lists it as 6 dice.
Generally I do raise everything but since I had played them so often it needed a little bump.

The weapons are indeed changed. So that aspect does make a difference. I had to look for a bit to find more monsters (the paragraphs are rearranged between the 3 versions I have). But all of them have the same MR in all of them. So that confirms that you don't really need to touch that aspect as all. I can't remember where I read that they said ignore those forewords about beefing up monsters.

Just got the Corgi edition from Flying Buffalo in the mail today. My daughter rolled up a Mountain Troll named "Erny" to run through it, and I decided to try it out with my level 2 human rogue named Azad, who recently survived The Crown of Kings. We've only scratched the surface so far, but it's been a lot of fun! Is there an errata for this anywhere? I checked out the list of known typos, and I can't find a listing for City of Terrors. Here's the issue: Azad fought and dispatched the Orc in the basement at paragraph 76, whence he was instructed to go to paragraph 98. But 98 seems like a totally different part of the adventure: "The gods were planning to destroy this ship anyway..." How did he get on a ship? This has got to be a mistake, but I can't figure out where Azad should go to continue his adventure. Any insights or ideas would be helpful!

Hmm the corgi is different then the original. Is it the two orcs in the basement after you made a light?
SPOILER ##########################
If so in the original that reads.
45 F This is the treasure room of the orcs. Granted their taste in treasure isn't the greatest, but amid the trinkets you do find some valuable stuff. There is a ring worth 150 g.p.s and a golden belt buckle worth 200 g.p.s. Before you can poke around any more, you hear other orcs coming. Being intelligent and brave, you pull yourself out the window and escape to 47G.

Thanks, Mike! That was indeed the section I needed. I found it at "102" in the Corgi edition.

I gave City of Terror a go today. I rolled up a Troll and didn't make it very far.
