I've managed, in the past two weeks, to introduce a teenaged former D&D player to the T&T rules. He's the son of one of my old players, and he's currently monkeying around with the traditional kindreds... rolling them up, practicing, etc.

I don't think it's going to die off in 16 years. I think we screwed up and created something lasting here, the way chess or go or mah johng have lasted. The precise form might change in its mechanics, but the game-type itself will never die.
