A very reassuring view on his prediciment. My Father and Brother were claimed by lymphactic cancer..that does not bode well for my future but what are ya gonna do?! Live I say!
All of these aches, pains, procedures and hassels are a sign of old age...if you are fortunate you will get to experience them as well.
May God be with him.

He's got a very good attitude about it, certainly, but it's a lot to deal with. By-product of long life indeed. He told Trollahalla a while ago - free memberships are available there, btw

I admire his attitude.
I still can't help but be worried, though. He'll be in my prayers and thoughts.

Yes, that's a bit of a worry. On the plus side, prostate cancer has a very good success rate for treatment, or so I hear. I certainly don't want to downplay the seriousness of the condition, but there are a lot of cancers that are far worse and harder to treat. It's good that has a positive outlook. And pretty nurses...

I'm glad to hear that Ken is treating his condition lightly-like he said, attitude is everything. Also, there are far worse cancers out there than prostate, much harder to detect and treat...compared to leukemia or pancreatic tumors, prostate cancer doesn't look half bad.
Judging by the treatment Ken describes, it sounds like they caught the problem in plenty of time-the absolutely precise positioning coupled with a lack of severe side effects leads me to believe that Ken's doctors are dealing with a very localized melanoma still. When Ken's doctors increase the Rads enough to cause him weakness and nausea, or start talking about surgery, then i'll panic!
To put things into perspective-two months ago my sister had a tumor roughly the size and shape of her pinkie finger cut from deep within the skin of her back-malignant Skin Cancer. Despite the pain and fear this caused her-and a newfound respect for the Sun's rays-I was informed by my sister's doctors that she had less than a 4% chance of this tumor killing her in the next thirty years or so...not bad odds from a statistics view.
I'm not taking Ken's condition lightly by any means (certainly not as likely as he is) and i'll remember him in my prayers-but don't go planning any wakes just yet...

Yes, Ken and his family will be in our thoughts and prayers - no pity, but excitement at his attitude and chances.
