"It seems like the cat-fish are trying to funnel us into a trap"
"Lets see if we can throw some sand into their gears"
Drugan casts The Key of Mellon with his older staff/cudgel on the East door.

There is a loud crash and the door flies open, revealing a corridor leading east. On the floor behind the door lies the shattered pieces of a wooden log and a pile of debris.
When you investigate further, you discover that the corridor turns north after 30'.

"Ha! Now let's see the surprised look on those fish fiends when we spring upon them! Forward gentlemen!"
Charles charges through the now open doorway shield held forward and spear at the ready.

Charles is closely followed by Quinlan who has to bite his tongue to choke back a battle cry!

Drugan follows the intrepid warriors eastward, they might need some magical assistance!

You quickly advance northward along the corridor for 70' until you run into another door. Charles and Quinlan can distinguish no sounds from the other side and it appears to be unbarred.

Quinlan applies the Boot of Opening to the door then the Sword of Killing to the gillboys on the other side. Ha ha!

The room is empty. It measures 40' by 30' and you entered on the wider side, 10' from the east wall. There is a closed door directly opposite.
Quinlan quickly moves through the room and checks the other door, which appears to be unlocked as well.

Quinlan: "Charge!"
And through the other door! Cripes, I hope the others are behind me...
<OoC - this dungeon is far to logical and realistic, where is that room with an MR 15 orc guarding a huge chest full of gold and magic items?>

The door reveals another corridor northward. This one is 60' long and ends in a closed door. Quinlan, having this down pat, determines that it is yet another empty room with an unbarred door. OOC: I'm sorry if I'm boring you Hogscape.

Melanthios tries to listen at the door and if he doesn't hear anything he pushes it open keeping his shield ready.

The smell that greets you is like a punch in the gut. The place is a nightmarish abattoir. The floor and walls are painted with gore and several human corpses, or what's left of them, hang from large hooks in the ceiling. Melanthios recognizes a few of them as his fellow prisoners.
The room is expansive, 80' by 50' and your entrance is on the long wall, 10' from the east wall. There is another metal door in the south corner of the west wall and a dingy wooden door in the north corner of the east wall.
In the middle of the room is a massive wooden table, or chopping block, with a meat cleaver stuck in it. Some butchers knives are also arranged on the table, as are a three dirty, gilded plates that look very out of place.
