Hi folks, I will soon be running a straight vanilla no house rules game of 5th edition. I need a character sheet for the troops but would like something more detailed (slightly) than the originals.
My ideal sheet would include all the basics plus a spot for spells, combat and missile adds, WU carried and possible, WU of weapons and equipment, dice, adds, range etc.
A spot for APs gained and required for next level. Physical description, maybe a spot for a portrait/sketch...
But as it's a vanilla game, no house-ruled additions. Does anyone have a PDF or Word version of this type of sheet?
many thanks

I think I got this link from a post on these boards. www.dragonfang.com/archive/tunnels/basictnt.jpgMaybe a search will reveal more. Vanilla...mmmm, an exotic intoxicating seasoning from South America. A little friendly sarcasm, I am not sure how vanilla came to mean plain so I like to tease about it.

hogscape, You don't have the official 5th ed. character sheets in such a format, or are they not to your liking?

I find when first learning the game the standard sheet is cool to start with, it looks very official. Added to this a nice blank piece of paper which they mark up with the columns/areas as needed. This page is used how the player finds most useful. What I do is each time I explain a new bookkeeping rule I get them to put it on their page, their way.
After a couple of weeks/months they show up with their own character sheet, all ruled up with heading and areas for different stuff, its great, you know they are now "Into RPG". They are now Level 1 Players. ;D
So I can ask them for their sheets but they are so custom I'm not sure they would be any use.

You are right but I like the players to have as much info in front of them as they can - my players tend not to do too much on their own...

Sure, it doesn't leave a lot of room for heavy detail, but it's so compact and relevant! All I have to do is leave the back blank, and write extra details there if I need more room than that.

With even a line for "Next of Kin" and...well..everything? What's missin'? -lol-

-lol- Oh, I see. Well, I'll be a-hangin', then. This is half baked but kind-of, sort-of what I'm looking for. Pretty naff at character sheets.... hogscape.googlepages.com/TnTCS.pdf

Oh, neat. I think I see now what you're going for.
More of a compartmentalized and less...umm...line-y than the official but with all the pertinent info as posseses the offical sheet.
Yeah?

That's it! Less liney. Try the link again, I've finished the first draft. Any suggestions?

Try the link again, I've finished the first draft. Any suggestions? Looks decent, Hogscape. I'm curious though, regular income and expenses? How does that happen? I've always viewed adventurers as having their income/expenditures tied in with their adventures. I s'pose if they had a hireling or some such it would equal a regular expense but what about regular income? I gotta get me some of that... Oh, and more seriously, would it be useful to have a Total Armor Points listing? Oh yeah, you missed the field for your Adventure Points.
