"Pontoons are an excellent idea Poncho, lets grab the barrels from the dining hall and the kitchen. They'll make ripping floats for the bridge" ;D

Charles stares at the empty cavern and sighs.
"I was hoping to try out my new trident on some live targets. Oh well. It appears that your carpentry skills will be needed once again Drugan. Let's get to it then."
Charles helps with emptying the barrels and carrying the tables back to the first cavern.
OOC: How many tables and barrels are in the room with the secret door?

Melanthios will also help with carrying anything that may be of use in building a bridge.
Melanthios: "After all this work to get over this stream there better be some treasure on the other side or some gillmen to kill."

There is only one table and two barrels in the room. But they should be enough for a pontoon raft.
You empty out the gill-man rum and the pickled meats and carry all the parts northward. Drugan gets to work and with the others pitching in, the raft is soon finished. It is a bit wobbly, but should be able to carry one person across.
OOC: Someone will need to cross the stream with the raft and fasten a rope to the other side (L1SR on DEX). Once this is done you should be able to ferry across safely.

Melanthios first makes sure that the rope is tied securely on this side of the stream and then ties the other end of the rope around himself then takes the raft over to the other side and fastens the rope there as well.
L1SR on DEX: 2d6 +13 >= 20 3 + 4 + 13 = 20 ... success

"Lets cross men, blood & plunder awaits!" ( Hopefully not our blood or monsters plundering our corpses ) Drugan makes sure the rope is well secured on his end then crosses on the raft.

Alywn takes Poncho's bow and arrows, with thanks, and likewise follows.

You all arrive safely across. The door on this side is sunk into the wall as well and after giving it a perfunctory examination you open it.
Behind the door is a damp corridor leading both east and west.

Melanthios: "Let's go west."
OOC: I've updated the map in the map room thread.

The corridor goes west for 30' and then curves north for another 20' until it ends in a metal door. The portal is badly corroded and is cold to the touch as Melanthios pulls it open.
The hinges groan as the door is forced open and flecks of rust fill the air. The room beyond is only 40' by 30' and your entry is 10' from the east wall. All the surfaces are covered with grime and there are three heaps of bones in the middle of the room. Two are about knee high and the third would reach up to your waist. The room is noticeably colder than the corridor and you can feel a cool draft as you stand in the doorway.

Without entering the room Drugan will cast "Tsathotha's Sixth-Sense (Detect Magic)" on the room and investigate the wall floor and ceiling as well as he can visually.
Drugan throws his arm up and bars the path into the room.
"Whoa friends, this looks like bad mojo if I've ever seen it, lets take a minute to consider before we enter".
OOC: OK, skeletons perhaps, or something hiding in the bones, perhaps a phantom or some kind of flesh eating insect swarm.
Also the unnatural cold bodes ill, all spell casters should be at the ready and I'm thinking that it would be a good idea to throw something into the room ahead of us and see if it freezes or triggers a trap.
Maybe a normal trident or better yet a large stone taken from the ruins of the bridge by the stream. In fact a couple of stones chunked in by our warriors into the bone piles would be a pretty good idea. If they conceal anything that should either reveal it or set it off.
Any further ideas?

"I'm on it boss!" Charles heads back to the stream crossing to retrieve some large stones from the ruins of the bridge. When he returns he offers a stone to Melanthios, Poncho, and Quinlan.
"Well gentlemen, shall we smash some bones and unleash the spirits?"
