Charles shows everyone the nice gem he found among the rubble of the chamber then tucks it safely in a pouch stuffed down his breeches.
"Alright, let's head back to the tower. Hopefully Moric won't be tired of putting us back together over and over again."

You make your way back to the tower without any furter incident.
It takes Móric a couple of days to heal your injuries. When you are all feeling better he makes a suggestion, "My stores are running low. Normally I would have sent my pelgrane with the order, but now I must ask if you could go instead? I purchase all my provisions from Chet over at the Small Stalkers Inn. You need only deliver my order to Chet and he will see to the delivery of the goods."
"All the caravans bound for Esperance stop by the inn, as it is situated by the edge of the Forest of Woes. You might find it an interesting place to visit and perhaps someone there would be interested in purchasing all the valuables you have confiscated from the gill-men."
"When you feel confident enough you can return to me and I will teach you the spells I promised."

OOC: I believe Drugan has advanced to 2nd level, if I'm correct would it be possible for him to learn a spell or two before he hobbles off for further adventure?

OOC: Considering how accident prone our group seems to be "The Rejuvinating Touch of the Swan" would probably be the best choice and I have a copy of it already.
I'm going to spend my level advance on 2 points of STR, if thats OK.

Móric will teach you a few spells before you go, so pick three from the spell list (he knows all 2nd level spells).]

Drugan will learn, The Rejuvinating Touch of the Swan, The Suggestive Power of Byakha & The Illusion of the Yithonian.
That will expand his spell repertoire very nicely.

Melanthios: "To the inn then. I'm sure that the healing spell will come in handy soon."

Móric imprints the spells in Drugan's mind before he sees you off in the morning. At the door he hands Alwyn a sealed scroll.
"Chet is an old friend, just deliver this letter to him and explain that you are my friends and he will help you as best he can."
"Remember to stay clear of the ruins of the old city", he admonishes as you wave goodbye.
The weather is clear and brisk as you begin your march. Moving eastward you skirt along the mountain chain to the south. You partake of a frugal lunch in hex 1014, making short work of Alwyn's last rations. As you eat you notice that there is smoke rising from chimneys in the mountains, apparently there is some kind of settlement up there.

"Shall we continue on to the inn or should we stop at this mountain settlement to resupply"
"Either works fine for me comrades"

Quinlan: "Perhaps Charles can bag us a couple of wild pelgrane with that magic spear of his?"

"If we come across any cute and cuddly woodland creatures I can fry them with my magic"
" Yummy scourged venison, blasted bunny or extremely distressed pheasant?"
