We have the query about what peoples favourite classic flying buffalo solo is. Could people help compile a new poll about their favourite fan/non FB solo is by posting theirs here.
Personaly I am torn between Ice Cavern of Isahil and Dungeon of the Demon Mage - both AR Holmes classics.
A very honourable mention goes to Soul Search - a trip to contemporary america by Murray Ewing in Raven 3.

I haven't played that many fan contributed solos (I certainly should play more) but my vote would go to JJB's Barony of Sanris - it's a great solo that dares to be different. Looks like an 'off the shelf' real McCoy too.

I cannot honestly answer this. JJB has done a couple of really good pieces, Boozer has put out so much excellent stuff, and various other people have done various other things. Nope, I can't answer this one. I'd have to re-read them - and then re-play them - and you still wouldn't get an answer because I'd be too busy to write it...

Ice Cavern of Isahil is not one of my favourites, for a bunch of reason. On the other hand I think I have a different view of how to do things than Boozer.
Who wrote "Escape from Khosht"? That one was fun.

Just played Bedlam , also by Boozer, and was very impressed - a good long solo with real atmosphere. I dont remember coming across escape from Khosht Koraq. Was it in a magazine?

I found it online way back when I first discovered T&T. It's written by Andrew Green. Maybe I should try to find out if it's been published somewhere else, or if Andrew would like a buck for it.

I believe Escape from Khosht was originally published by Dragon Tree Press, although they don't carry it on their site any more. "that company" published and may still advertise it.
I also originally found this online buried in the archives of the Blue Frog Tavern site - probably it's still there, along with several other solos from Tori Bergquist (Aberdan's Folly, Nymphomania) and Ken St.Andre (Sworded Adventure). Shipy was freely uploading the text of these solos before he decided to publish them (with permission I think). They'll take some hunting to find.
I agree 'Escape' was a good one.

Thanks Porkbelly. I see it is available from "that company". Having an internal mental debate. Will probably wait to see what comes from the "that guy"/Loomis/Ken discussions.

Update on Escape from Khosht.
Andrew Greene posted the message below on Blue Frog Tavern in May 2007. (I won't post the reply from Shipy). You can still download 'Escape' freely from that site as a Word document.
=== Re: [BFT] Tunnels & Trolls NEWS:
Following the link of this email takes you to a page where solo adventures are sold, and the following is stated:
"ESCAPE FROM KHOSHT (T&T Solo): By Andrew Greene. This is a Dragon Tree Press publication and listed as an ‘official T&T product’ from that company. It is printed on very professional slick magazine paper with a heavy cover. The 32-page solo features some great art throughout, printed in all b/w 8 by 11 book. Grab a copy of this classic solo while stocks lasts (as I only have a few dozen to sell). You can buy a copy of this full sized solo for $10.00."
The solo is available in the Files section of this group for free, as it has been for a few years now. You needn't pay for it.
This solo was taken (from this group or RadioFreeTrollWorld) and published without my (the writer's) permission and I doubt very seriously without the permission of Flying Buffalo, making the 'official T&T product' label dubious; also, it violates the copyright.
Some months ago, I researched and discovered a "Dragon Tree Press" operating in California and after several discussions with them, I became convinced they have nothing to do with this product.
I wrote "Escape From Khosht" a few years ago for the two yahoo groups mentioned above, and it was intended as my gift to the players of T&T for the years of enjoyment the game has brought me. It wasn't intended for me or anyone else to make a profit from it.
--Best, Andrew Greene

Thanks Porkbelly.
I'm not signed up to yahoo groups. Shame a clearly good piece of work isn't published more widely.

What format were they in and can we PDF them easily.

First, author permission. After that it's blindingly easy if the word document is still available!

Could people help compile a new poll about their favourite fan/non FB solo is by posting theirs here. Has anyone played Aaron Thorne's Solo? I keep meaning to, it's a nice long doc (34 pages, 211 paragraphs) I just haven't found the time to sit down and do so. It's the next adventure I'd like to take my half-orc warrior through...
