I wanted to start a thread to get input on what people want to see, leaving aside issues for the time being of distribution and such. What kinds of things would we like to produce? If I paraphrase out illustrious Trollgod, "the field is open" - and it is! A periodical fan-zine? - What kinds of features, columns, content, etc
Campaign supplements? Mahundl's Big Book o' Spells? Solo adventures? GM adventures? It's obviously very dependent on what kind of stuff people are producing... I guess though that I'd like to know what ya'll would like to see be done, without worrying so much about the HOW of it for the time being.

Well, I'd make some suggestions about stuff... but I'm feeling under the weather - stuffy, actually, and maybe the stuff I'd stuff into the stuff posted here might be kind of pompous ( stuffy again, if you will) and might lead to stuff being posted about how I need to go stuff myself. 'Scuse me... evidently I had too much stuffing last week. ;D ANYWAY... *More solos. Definitely. MOAR SLOS PLZ KTHX *Lists of new weapons - by a truly amazing coincidence, that is one of my next projects. *A 'zine, definitely as well, with articles on combat, Kindreds, equipment, spells and so forth. Fiction, maybe - a little of that goes a long way. World-building articles, dungeon-building articles, stuff ( ) on fiddly but cool details like what the Death Goddess is wearing this season, money in T&T, colorful locales, inns to frequent/avoid, u.s.w.

I think an e-fanzine is the best way to go for this kind of thing. The usual articles on gaming style/problem solving A solo of course A GM adventure of course Bit o' fiction A game aid or two (new weapons, spells, races...) Release it every two months or every quarter cause we are fans not a business. Hogscape has his sweet site with stuff, he may help or another site can be started...more places for google to find. Some one to make a judgment call on what is published is important.

This stuff right here: *Lists of new weapons - by a truly amazing coincidence, that is one of my next projects. You got plans for this stuff? Could stuff it into the grab-bag of the mag otherwise...

Could stuff it into the grab-bag of the mag otherwise... aw, poop... I'm out of "stuff" jokes. I suppose it could be a magazine article. I'm picking up a book on ancient Chinese weapons from the library this evening, and translating those into T&T terms. Some wierd, wild stuff in there, like wolf brush spears, half-moon knives and throwing coins - perfect for a game with chakrams, patars, madus and haladies. There may be crappy hand-drawings in the offing, since my scanner recently died or I might see what I can find on Wikipedia.

Any and all of the above are good. Without limits on what to include. For instance, one time you might receive a contribution from someone creative that is something out of the box we hadn't thought of. All fair game! I plan on writing more solos, especially 25-paragraph ones. It's a fun challenge to write a decent solo in 25 paragraphs or less. And, it doesn't take nearly as long as a 75-100 paragraph one. I really enjoyed doing it for Murders in the Midst of Annelsia.

What kinds of features, columns, content, etc What about TKD's Riding Beasts Question? Such a menagerie surely deserves inclusion, possibly even as it's own column. The TrollGod knows there's enough beasties there to populate more than a few issues. I realize that there was the possibility of TKD's work to be included in an issue or three of the Hobbit Hole but I don't know if it actually happened. If so, then why not here in a different format? If not, then certainly here... assuming TKD doesn't object

It's the kind of thing that could be stretched-out over issues of a periodical, or bundled up as a 'supplement' - which is the case IMO with so much of his stuff. (hope he's not reading this - hate to talk about people as if they weren't there!)

Has "Fight On" done any articles about T&T, interviews, adventures or gaming aides? I've got the first four issues but haven't kept up lately.

You know, I really haven't heard of them doing any T&T stuff. There are a few OSR ( Old School Renaissance) contributors who are into T&T as well as That Other Game. That would be a good start for a New T&T Sucker Player outreach while we're plotting what to do as far as replacing "that company".

I have contacted both Knockspell and Fight On!, and those guys are interested in lots of stuff. I still haven't submitted, but will. I mentioned it to Rick and he thought it was a splendid marketing move, or at least he approved.
