The Splendid Rolls of Accurately Comparing Kindreds
Based on the series 'The Devil's In the Details' by Baz Blatt, in Fight On! magazine. Quotes are from there.
Pe Choi:
Mystical forest-dwellers.
"Pe Choi are tall six-limbed insectoids with a sea-horse like head. Males are black and females white, and they are the alien species most at home in Tékumel’s human societies,"
INT x 4/3
LK x 2/3
DEX x 4/3
CHR x 2/3
SPD x 2/3
WIZ x 4/3
Pe Choi are biologically unable to hold their breath (and thus to swim with their heads under the water)
Their tough skin gives them 2 extra points of armour (doubled for a warrior, as for normal armour).
Ahoggya:
Squat, smelly, belligerent and incontinent.
"Ahoggya are peculiar looking beasts to terrestrial eyes, having four brawny arms and four legs arranged equidistantly round a hairy barrel-like torso, and four pairs of eyes looking to the front, left, right and behind. They only have one mouth though, and this is equipped with sharp pointed teeth, the other sides of their body having peculiar wrinkled and whorled protuberances that may be ears, noses, or sexual organs, no one quite sure which."
STR x 4/3
INT x 2/3
CON x 4/3
DEX x 2/3
CHR x 1/3
WIZ x 2, but see below.
The Ahoggya's many faces mean that they are almost impossible to sneak up on.
Their tough skin gives them 3 extra points of armour (doubled for a warrior, as for normal armour).
Ahoggya may never learn or cast spells. Their WIZ is used only for determining their resistance to magic.
Any spell cast within 10 feet of an Ahoggya has a 50% chance of failing. Any spell cast within 11-20 feet has a 1 in 3 chance of failing. Half the WIZ cost is paid for a failed spell.
Pygmy Folk:
Cunning, vicious, diminutive merchants.
"The Pygmy Folk are small, averaging a mere 60 cm in height, with sharp-featured faces, grey or black fur, hands with four digits, and a short tail."
STR x 1/2
INT x 2
CON x 2/3
DEX x 2/3
CHR x 2/3
SPD x 4/3
Pygmy Folk can roll 4 dice for their initial gold, dropping the lowest dice.
