Points to note comparing TARO and Standard: The lowest stat with TARO is 4 not 3 as in STD. The bell curve is moved slightly in favour of 10 - 12 which does not effect personal adds Taro drops away sharper at 16 Yes there is a very slim chance of rolling a character that has higher than 18 stats, but they don't normally exceed the effects of Kindred mods. There is no risk if limited to humans only. The rolls tailed off at 34 with 1 anomaly of 51. I think the FUN of letting players TARO out weighs the risk of "unbalancing" a low level adventure.

Nice charting 'Talent' Quog.
Despite my rabid dislike of TARO I really shouldn't talk it down so much as I only have one experience of it. It was a dire game wrecker. I'm sure I'll give it another spin down the track though.

That's very interesting, Quog. I'm glad you posted that. I wouldn't have thought the bell curve wasn't really whacked. That said, I don't like the possibility of such enormous starting stats no matter how small, especially in a game where the stats continue to rise, but that's just personal view/problem.
