Obviously its not sunk in yet. Well, he is pretty.... When JJB mentioned that I was immediately reminded of the exchange in Labyrinth between Sarah and Hoggle: Sarah: Ow! It bit me! Hoggle: What'd you expect fairies to do? Sarah: I thought they did nice things, like granting wishes! Hoggle: Huh. Shows what you know, don't it?

eagle/james you said you wanted Brick to open the door, but the door is already open and three of the characters are already in the room, so I'll have Brick and Milsap move through that room and open the next door.

Combat 1
This is the situation you're all in the room with the silver sword except Milsap who is in the next room. Mislap is in a toe-to-toe fight with a skeleton who has hold of him. Hell have to fight it on his own for at least one combat round.
Old brick is standing in the doorway, spell ready, facing the three Skeletons that are between him and Milsap.
The rest of you are behind old brick.
What's the plan, people?

Other than Old Brick, are any of the rest of us aware of the fight, i.e. do we hear anything or was anyone else aware that Brick and Millsap opened the door to the next room? By my count, Flitwing, Dirk, Con and Bernard are in the room with the silver sword with Adiemar and Greqo either just inside or right in the doorway, I'm not clear on their position. That leaves Shortstuff and Berek unaccounted for though they're injured.

Unless someone says otherwise I'm assuming everyone is together. I'm also assuming that Milsap and Old brick would make it clear they're underattack, even if they don't the skeletons are rattling their bones and making a nosie, so you'd know something was happening.

Combat 1 Aftermath
No injuries, but Flitwing's current WIZ is 7. Old Brick's WIZ and ST are both at 5. He's fine as far as WT Poss/WT Carr is concerned but his Adds are at -2 until he regains his ST.
Lord Azel is slightly lighter than a normal broadsword and gets 5 dice in damage.
The gems on the skeletons rags are worth 640 gps in total.

The doors in the basement do of course lead into the Dungeon of the Bear level 1.
You are of course free to do what you want, but it might be a good idea to hold off going down into the dungeon proper until you've at least been back to Halfcut to unload your loot and get more gear, or perhaps check out the other tower first and then go shopping.

Hmm, the tower must be "Buffalo Castle".
So I'd suggest we follow our GM's advice and either return to civilization and heal and re-equip or hit the tower.
I'd say go back and heal up and get supplies, based on how many wounded we have in the party.

I'll second the emotion. With the wounded we have and the tougher part of the dungeon coming up I'd suggest picking up some healing potions/salves. Some higher dice weapons could also make a difference in our survival.

Just a brief heads up, folks, I'll try and keep up with the posting but there may be days where I can't get to it. My computer is back in the shop for the third time since Christmas. The shop is good but it's a bizarre cascade of issues. I'm beginning to wonder if a tribe of gremlins took up residence in the case... If you need, just marionette Flitwing and/or Dirk as the situation warrants.

Would it be possible for Con to switch out a language so he can communicate with Flitwing?
He has: Feline Common Tongue Trollish Dwarvish Giantish Gremlin Ogrish Bovine Orcish
He got 3 duplicates during generation so he has 9 languages and I'd gladly trade two languages from the list so Flitwing can have a bigger say in what goes on in the party.
Just a request for your consideration.

Thanks, TKD, I appreciate the offer. I'm ok with role-playing this out if you'd like to keep the languages you rolled up. If nothing else it offers a good role-playing opportunity and difference in perspective. I figure Flitwing will either manage a 13th Warrior moment such as Zendog suggested earlier or he'll come across some means of obtaining the language either through magic or study.
