FWIW- "Manos" can often be seen on Youtube; usually with the MST3000 'bots' in tow to make it watchable. I SHUDDER to consider what might happen to the poor wretch that attempted to watch it without them! "Torgo" and the lead chick both committed suicide right after the movie's release...........

Manos? A really bad movie?!? Obviously, order99, you've not actually seen Monster-a-Go-Go.

Manos? A really bad movie?!? Obviously, order99, you've not actually seen Monster-a-Go-Go. I have, actually. It didn't numb my will to live the way Manos did-quite the opposite! You never feel more alive than when you're screaming at the screen in a near-berseker rage following the 'reveal'-namely, that you've utterly wasted your time watching this drek in the vain hope that the movie would finally make some inkling of sense! Sigh. Could be worse. It least it wasn't Deafula-watching a bunch of cops trying to scream in ASL (and trying to hold a gun at the same time) at a vampire with a giant paper mache nose.....just too surreal. It reminded me of something my players would do just to see me slam my head against the table- -come to think of it it was one of my players who loaned it to me. Hmmmmm...

You should return the favor by running a session of T&T completely in Esperanto.

You should return the favor by running a session of T&T completely in Esperanto. The same player owns a copy of Incubus-she'd probably enjoy it. Provided the other players didn't beat us both into a paste of course. Multan dankon pro la sugesto kvankam, Prof. Gremlin! Ĉi tiu retopaĝo povus veni en oportuna!

Threadjack successful-next stop...ARUBA! ;D ;D ;D
This might be cheating (due to its literary origins) but I think the live-action Hogfather is a must see for the T&T fan. Wonderfully acted, high concepts mixed with both quick, gruesome death and comedy-an incredible mix that rarely gets done properly in cinema. Also, wondrous magics, mythic stories cut whole cloth from sources both modern and ancient, moving character scenes, somewhat sympathetic villains who do horrible, horrible things and reluctant heroes. Not to mention SRs on IQ, CN, DX, ST,LK and CH everywhere you turn....and just show your players the awesome Dialogue-Fu devolving into a Wuxia swordfight between Susan and Teatime ('tee-AH-tm-uh') and see if they get the whole 'SRs in combat' idea. I bet they will.
The Golden Voyage of Sinbad was and is the One Film I Will Take To A Desert Island movie-until Hogfather that is. Now I am forced to flip a coin, and both exult and agonize no matter which side lands...
I must of course also praise the animated Weird Sisters and Soul Music, for its lovely characters, laugh-out-loud comedy and utterly Insane-Is-The-New-Awesome scenes...but Hogfather still tops them in my list.
And I love the books as well, but I believe Mr. Pratchett's literature has already been mentioned in the other thread.
