"I agree, I'm a bit tired of this particular area," mutter Alf, "The cobwebs still give me a bit of the willies."
"Yea, I think so too. Let's get going," agrees Adiemar.

You all follow Ahab and head east. After about 60' the tunnel opens up into a large room. How large you can't tell as it extends beyond your torch range in every direction. However, dead ahead of you (east) you can hear the distant echoey splish-spalsh of movement in water.

Ahab arches an eyebrow.
"Well what do you all think, shall we press on or should we detour?"

'Well, we should see what lays ahead of us if nothing else. I'd venture that whatever is making that splish-splash cant be any worse than the creatures we've encountered already'

Con rummages around in his pack and removes two torches.
"Here Ahab let me light these off the lantern"
He then hands one to Ahab and offers the second to Adiemar.
"Here you go lads, your bigger and stronger than me so toss these here torches as far out as you can and lets see if that sheds a little more light on the subject"
Ahab grunts and flings his torch outward into the darkness towards the sound of water and splashing.

Ahab's torch flies through the air. At the apex of its arc it illuminates a high roof and as it falls you see that about 60' ahead of you the granite floor ends and there is water which the torch plops into and is promptly extinguished. After the fizz of the torch going out you hear snapping and splashing coming from the water.

"Uh, what's that other sound," says Adiemar with a look of surprise. He throws his torch from Con directly toward the new sounds as best he can to light what's coming. Then wields his sickle and readies his shield.

Aidemar's torch follows Ahabs into the water. It doesn't illumiate anything on the floor, but when it hits the water and goes out, you hear the splashing and snapping again. The noise must something in water reacting as the torches splash down.

Con nods.
"Well it doesn't appear to be in a hurry to leave the water so it should be safe...ish to advance and at least get a better look"
Ahab nods and prepares his weapons.
"Lets go see what kind of fishy is in yonder water, perhaps we'll have a fry-up" ;D

You advance to about 5' from the edge of the water, just to be safe, it seems quiet, peaceful even. The pool is murky, too dark to see what's lurking in there. It goes on beyond 50' range of your torches. You have no idea how wide, or how deep it is, or how far it stretches on ahead of you.

Con cranes his neck and looks about.
"Well we have no boat & I'm not swimming that, I say we try another direction"
Ahab shivers.
"I've never been good with water, I'll be happy to go around"

After a few moments discussion you decide not to wade through the water and instead track back to the room of many doors. Once there you have three other panels to choose from: one in the north-east corner, one in the south-east corner, and one in the floor dead centre of the northern wall. As with the other panels, each will yeild only to magic.

Con taps the south eastern panel.
"Well I don't know the spell needed to open this thingy so someone make with the magic, we're not getting any younger. ;D
