Sligo; there are a fair number of maps and inserts in the forms of the parchment letter in Dreamstones, so maybe you don't need too much more?

I wrote a piece for TZ dealing with combat stunts, but since then I've done a Whole Lot of playtesting that has changed a lot of my assumptions about that piece. I'd love to talk to whoever was proofing it to hash out any revisions that are needed, especially if it's still on the hopper for TZ4.
Edit: Cuss filter doesn't like seeing "my as" followed by "sumptions", and replaced it with "I disagreeupmtions", so I had to fix it.

I know we don't have an article about combat stunts slated for TZ4. Go ahead and revise it for TZ 5 and send it to me. I have a bunch of articles in the stable for future magazines, but what we need most are mini-solo's and gm adventures.
Oh... And artwork. There's never enough artwork.

Hey - I'm going through the first editing pass, and I'm seeing a lot of little issues. Overall, the adventure looks like it's a lot of fun, but it needs quite a bit of editorial work. It's probably going to take a few back-and-forth communications between us before we get it to a point that's publish-able. I have a holiday on Monday. Though there are some errands I need to run, what's your availability this weekend (Sunday & Monday, specifically, because I have an all-day committment on Saturday)? If you're by your computer, we might be able to get this knocked out pretty quickly. Thanks! - Scott

Sligo; I am available most of the weekend so it should easily be doable; probably most of Monday as well.
regards
Steve

Sligo, are you still looking for editors/proofreaders? Please let me know if there's something I can do to help. Email, PM, drop a note in this thread - whatever works for you.

TrollsZine is gone, it's meant to be quarterly and they have now missed 2 publishing deadlines. December and March. We were 2 weeks away from being done when they took over and still nothing.
Face it, it's gone...

The missed dealines are disheartening but I don't think we should throw in the towel just yet. I have tons of free time so I offer my services as editor/proofreader as well. If more material is needed I can write up reviews of solos both old and new. I'm no artist and know nothing about layout software from this century, but again I have lots of free time. If there is shareware for layout work I can learn it and try my hand at it.
Let's not let Trollszine die! It is too important to our small community and d**n it, it's too cool to give up on!

Don't be too downhearted people; there has been some activity behind the scenes since the last messages, and quite a lot of editing has been done.

The hold up is me. Rather than working on the last article (which is an excellently conceived and written GM-adventure), I've been spending my time working on the adventures for my weekly Monday-night group and on convention adventures (the next of which is 3-River Con in Ft Wayne, IN, April 1-3).
We desperately need ORIGINAL artwork. I have numerous submissions from artists, but in a lot of cases, the artwork has been used in previous issues of TZ or in other places.
The front cover is basically done, as is most of the layout up to, but not including, the final article. I still need to do the final pages, and for those who would like to advertise, I need yours ads - right now I only have 2 or 3.
It's not dead... Just not the higher priority we'd all like it to be.

Glad to hear it's still trundling forward even if it is at a plodding pace. As far as artwork goes, is there any problem with using non-copyrighted material? Forgive me, the word currently escapes me, but I'm referring to artwork found online that states no license is required to use it.

I think Prof means "public domain" or "creative commons".

Wiki Commons is a great place for this: commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Main_Page

That was the phrase exactly, Gaptooth. Thanks for that. How 'bout it, Sligo? Is it worth a few of us browsing about for public domain artwork for TZ4? Maybe give us a list and we can email what we find or maybe drop links in this thread?
