Sample Character - Peasant level
Nob the Short - Hobbit - 84 points
Hobbit Rogue , Level 1
Str - 4 Con - 12 Dex - 16 Spd - 10 IQ - 10 Wiz - 7 Lk - 16 Cha - 6
Adds - +3
Talents - Roguery, Stealthy (3 point kindred Talent)
L1 Spell Known - Take That You Fiend
Nob was blessed of a measure of psychic ability, but had neither the charm nor intellect to win a place at the Wizards Academy, though he was lucky enough to pick up a magical blast spell. Not particularly strong or robust for a Hobb, he was quite fortunate, and so set off to try his luck by adventuring.

Talent - Swordsmanship
Strong, tough and fast with a fairly winning smile, Tang was very proficient with a sword when he practised at his Wu-shu school. He decided to set off and see if he could earn more money with his sword than he would ploughing a field.

Kindred Ability - Night Vision (5 points)
Talent - Wizardry
Nicknamed 'the charming' as an exercise in advanced irony at Wizardry college, Loric used his Nightvision to quickly finish his studies by working round the clock and set off for a life of adventure. He would show those smug b*stards with their toothy elvish grins...

Sample Character - Heroic
Berek Hammerhand - Dwarf - 120 points

What was exceptional about Berek was not his strength and hardiness (normal for a Dwarf) but his speed and dexterity. He was a star player in the Dwarfball games at his cavern. A lack of challenge there lead to him seeking new adventures in the world outside

ROFL Reminds me of a few characters I ran in a Recon (DriveThru RPG link) campaign. I loved playing the pointman but dang they had a short life expectancy. I gave up naming the characters after the third one died and called the next one 'Stiff'. ;D

Sample Character - Superheroic -
Sean Diamondfist - Leprechaun - 200 points
Leprechaun Wizard - Level 3
Str - 10 Con - 18 Dex - 30 Spd - 18 IQ - 32 Wiz - 34 LK - 28 Cha - 16
Adds - +40
Kindred Ability - Wink Wing (5 points)
Special attribute - Diamond Fist , worth 4 dice in combat (9 points for 3 extra combat dice)
Talents - Wizardry, Luck of the Leprechaun, Fisticuffs
A survivor of the Trip of the Lion through the feared Deathtrap Equaliser Dungeon, Sean is a powerful wizard who knows all spells through to Level 3. When in his cups he is prone to challenging all comers to 'put em up' and his hand of diamond packs a mean punch. When things look like they are going really badly for him he relies on a rub on his lucky rabbits foot and a winsome smile - it hasn't let him down so far.

Thanks Prof - I am trying to work on this artcle in the open so that I can get feedback. I am hoping that the 'added value' of a difficulty appraisal of the solos, plus the pre generated characters mean that even old school players will get something from it.

Your difficulty appraisal of the solo's certainly helps me out. If for no other reason than simply having a spectrum of difficulty presented for ease of reference. I find myself grouping the solos I have based upon the recommendation of the author for level and adds. That way I can progress my characters through them with a bit more of a chance at survival than simply introducing them to a meat grinder. Your list helps when I'm looking at future acquisitions.

Would people be more interested in this as a summon demon/build your own monster/henchman system (with a side option of character creation?)
It could even refer back to the canonical 5e rules on slaves and henchmen , which was T&T's first take on points based creation, with gold as the benchmark.

Zanshin, you could always us the bookmark function at the top of the thread. You would then be able to find it in your profile > Bookmarks on the top line that reads Members Bio - Modify Profile - Bookmarks - Social Networks
I do this when I want to make sure I can find threads again.

Zanshin, it looks like a workable system. I'm not a huge fan of point buy though, which is why I haven't commented on it in depth. I'm also not a hue fan of point buy in old school games. Too much potential for dump-stats.
