I was looking at your site only last night, cartomancer, and thinking that it hadn't been (obviously) updated for more than a week (which isn't that long, really, but you'd been doing well on making daily updates). Good to see that you're continuing with it.

Good to see that you're continuing with it. Oh mosty deffinately mahrundl and, i still plan to get my second solo up before this week is through. Updates will however be a little further apart now as the initial push was to get things up and running. The problem with pushing so hard and so fast was that i was begining to feel a bit burnt out and, some of the work i was producing was far from my best. I'm still taking it easy at the moment to be honest but i do have a number of interesting projects and solos in the pipeline so it's fair to say that the Tunnels of the Trollamancer will be around for a very long time. Oh, just to say that i also welcome outside content too, so if you've ever put anything toghether that you'd like to place on the net but, don't have anywhere to put it or, you just want to promote your own site, just drop me a message here or over at the halla and i'll happily help you out. I also welcome feedback. So if you can see room for improvement on the site or, if there is something you'd like to see, i'd love to hear it as i respond to all messages and try to provide as much as i can for the fans of T&T.

I'm finding that I NEED more specialized magic rules........
Ref: "The evil necromancer cackles, and throws the switch in the wall, made out of the remains of a human arm.........."
Players: "Necromancer, huh? So, what makes him a Necromancer?"
Ref: "Weelll, he's of a nasty disposition, and he likes to hang out with dead people........."
I may have to give your colleges of magic a look over. My game wouldn't work all that well with the "Galantrian" approach you've taken though; I may have to re-level the spells so that a character can start out in any of the colleges.

Well, where possible i happily take user requests and, i do agree that the aproach taken by others might not be what you are looking for. If you give me some idea of your preception of a Necromancer and the Necromatic arts then i'll happily put together a college to reflect that for you. The kind of things i need to know are really how dark you want to go, how broad should the spell collection be (just communing with and summoning the dead or, also curses and such) . How are they viewed in society? Do they also favour ritual as well as incantation? Obviously you dont need to answer all the questions but, the more i know about what you preceive them to be like, the better i can cater them to your needs. This actually works well with a plan i had already which was to create other colleges, that bestowed titles in this fashion. Such as elemental, alchemist etc. Its all just in the planning stage but, i'd happily go ahead with this for you if you'd like?

Sweet! ;D I'd suggest a well-rounded approach; don't just tailor your efforts to my campaign. With that in mind, I'd build a "broad" necromancer (and alchemist, elemental, Etc.) so individual players and refs can answer the questions you posed above. In my own campaign set in Atlantis' Second Age, for instance, necromancers are banned in Atlantis; but, the Flood is soon coming, and men are growing more and more decadent, so the laws are flouted openly in many places. With Divine wrath soon on the way, the world I run is dark indeed, with the PCs being that much more brighter in comparison. Dark would work for me; but for other settings, not so much.

Greetings all, For those of you not on Trollhalla, i'd just like to make you aware that after much, blood, sweat and tears, 'Dark Rising' is now fully rendered in HTML. I hope you'll all check it out at: trollamancer.weebly.com/index.html and, swing by for an adventure or two. It is tricky but, the rewards are well worth the challenge! :0).

I think that you're overdue for an Exalt, cartomancer. Let me remedy that...

Cartomancer, please for give a gremlin who's hemoglobin is seriously out of balance with his caffeine but I can't seem to locate the link for Dark Rising. I don't see it in the Solo's section nor is the mention of it in the updates clickable. Am I missing something?

No need to worry prof, we all have days when we dont have enough blood in our caffeine stream. ;0). Here's a direct link straight into the adventure for you: trollamancer.weebly.com/dr0.htmlIt's been listed as Secrets of Saxon #2: Dark Rising on the solos page and, Blood War of Saxon is just above it should you want to play them through in order. :0).

Ah, thank you, Cartomancer, you are a Troll and a Scholar. It's been listed as Secrets of Saxon #2: Dark Rising on the solos page and, Blood War of Saxon is just above it should you want to play them through in order. :0). ::face palm:: Now why didn't I think to use [Ctrl]+[F]? It would have made things so much clearer. I played through Blood War of Saxon with my Orchai superbreed. A little odd considering his perceived attitudes (Why would an UrukHai be helping out Knights Templar...?) but a decent adventure overall. I'll have to play Dark Rising soon to continue the adventure. Thank you. Oh, right, and an exalt is well deserved!

I'm glad you enjoyed your adventure prof and, thank you for the exalt. :0).
The first solo is more a taster for the setting and theme, although a complete adventure in itself it's intended to build up the ideas that are apparent in Dark Rising and, actually came from a live session i GM'd on the fly. :0).
Happy Delving and good luck... You'll need it to complete Dark Rising. ;0).
