over here as a character for Zendog's Dungeon of the Bear game played here at the 'Bridge. Opening scenes are here. He mainly played the role of scout and wizard. His armor was essentially leather though it was made out of specially treated bark that would blend into an arboreal setting. He wore an acorn cap for a helmet and carried a 3" pyracantha thorn for a staff ordinaire that he could also poke people with if necessary.
One of the fun issues this character had to hurdle was the language barrier. He only spoke the Fairy tongue so trying to communicate with other party members was a trip. During the course of Castle Ward he picked up some Pigin Common (no, not pigeon) that helped.
I like playing fairies/pixies. The difference in perspective is a real trip - gotta think in three dimensions, it's all about flight and things that a human wouldn't even notice (large spiders, flyswatters, etc.) can be deadly to someone so small. It's kinda like being a human in a land of giants.
Some of the inspiration for Flitwing came in part from the character Jenks in the Kim Harrison series The Hollows. It's a great series if you're into Urban Fantasy.
Flitwing, apart from being a great name, was one of my fave characters in that game. I like Fairies and Leps in T&T you don't really find either in any other Fantasy RPG's and it's one (of the many) things that makes T&T unique.
