Yeah, for real! I think I mentioned that up-thread, but I'll say it again: This list rocks and should be a pdf. With your spells and T-D-K's monsters, you guys could conquer the world. (which is fine by me as long as you leave me some chocolate pie, I'll be fine with whatever else you guys do)

Is there any chance of these being put into a .pdf or openoffice file so that they can be printed out? Or, conversely, if there is interest I can do this. HellBender, I do intend to do so. But I want / need to go through and tidy a few things up - mainly terminology, but I was thinking of working out appropriate level numbers for 7th edition too. If you want to grab the information and make a PDF for your own use, and to share with your players, that's fine (and it's not like I could stop you, even if I wanted to). I do intend to do an 'official' PDF (whatever that means), but I may not get to it for some time yet.

(which is fine by me as long as you leave me some chocolate pie, I'll be fine with whatever else you guys do) You want chocolate pie? OK: Chocolate Pie a la Machfront (Cosmic) The caster causes an incredibly rich and tasty chocolate pie, pre-cut into 8 pieces, to appear in her hands. The pie is perfectly edible, and eating a piece is perfectly safe - even diabetics can consume a piece without risk. However, voluntarily eating more than one piece requires a SR vs CON, at a level equal to the total number of pieces eaten. Failing the SR will cause the eater to lie down and sleep for an hour per piece. No SR is required if you are forced to eat more than one slice; it must be voluntary. Offering pieces of the pie will instantly stop a battle in progress, but you had better have enough for everyone - anyone who doesn't get a piece will attack the pie bearer berserkly! Any pieces not eaten after 1 full turn will disappear. Level: 2 Organisations: Wizards' Guild, Confectioners' Guild Power up: Double number of pies. Cost: 8 Range: -- Cost to purchase: Standard for level

I love the "Pie" spell! ;D Now we just need a variant that involves Jelly Babies and we can do a Dr. Who game.

Jiminy, there are 37 pages of spells in OpenOffice, with just the spells copied and pasted as is. I am of course just going to use these for my own is and since 13x2 is pretty darned close to 25 I will use these as 1-2=1, 3-4=2, 5-6=3 for now. There isn't a lot of danger at this point with this being off with 7.5 for my group, so really, until I here other advice Levels 1&2 equalling a level 1 spell in 7.5 won't disrupt the world too much.

Hellbender, if I may suggest an alternative, try the following: Level 1 - 9 spells: use as listed. Level 10 - 12 spells: reduce to level 9. Level 13 - 15 spells: reduce to level 10. Level 16 - 17 spells: reduce to level 11. Level 18 - 19 spells: reduce to level 12. Level 20+ spells: reduce to level 13. You are, of course, perfectly entitled to use whatever levels you like. I suggest this because I think that the low- to mid-level spells (level 8 and under) are fairly well adjusted for the levels that I have set for them, compared to the official spell list, whereas the higher-level spells are a little harder to rate accurately. Also, this keeps the higher level spells higher up than under your suggested method, and there are few enough spells at those levels already.

I've been working on the PDF version of the spellbook. Would anyone care to run their eyes over it and let me know if there's anything that stands out as problematic? At this stage, I'm mostly concerned with spelling errors, missing data, and so forth - layout and formatting issues are secondary.

Thank you for the suggestion, I will run with your suggestion and I am sure it will be fine.
Wow, I would love to eyeball that for you, but I am a bit behind on rpg projects already and I would be flayed alive if I started anothere beofre polishing off the others.

mahrundl, I am happy to provide a second opinion concerning your PDF. You have already done 99% of the work from what I see here. Feel free to reach out to me.

I'll e-mail you a copy of the draft PDF shortly. I should probably mention that I included your Mage Cloak spell - marked as being created by you, naturally! - in the list. If you would prefer that I didn't have it in the final product, I will, of course, remove it. If you're happy for it to stay, please let me know how you'd like it to be attributed. The same goes for everyone else. I don't think that there are any spells contributed by anyone else in the list, although there are certainly a couple of people named for contributing ideas. Let me know if you don't want your name mentioned, and what name you want me to use if you are happy to be listed.

Ahh Mahrundl. I loved discovering Mage Cloak in the list. I was honored that you added it. Afterall, the spell was inspired by your work.

Just an update - I haven't forgotten the PDF of the spells, but I've been distracted by other things recently.
