Mahrundl, if you're still looking for independent opinions, I'd be happy to look over your pdf file. I don't believe my e-mail address is secret, but you've got my permission to access it if it is.

Unclecranky, it's been on the back-burner for some months, mainly due to work being ridiculously busy. I was just thinking the other day that I should get back to work on it. In any case, I'm always happy to have an independent opinion. I'll send you a copy once I've had a chance to check the state that it's in...

Mahrundl, is it viable to do 7e and 5e 'stat blocks' for the spells, or is that too much yakka?

I'm not sure what you're getting at, Hogscape. Other than referring to WIZ rather than ST, the spells should be mostly 5th and 7th compatible already.
Ah, except for the spell levels. And I've posted a suggested conversion for the levels on the previous page of this thread.

Just a comment . Mahrundi your spell List is GREAT it is so T&T . Because that's what T&T is about your imagination, your rules and unregimented play, which I have always felt make it a more open and playable game tan D&D which appeals most to the Anal Retentives and control freaks of THE REAL WORLD.

Zedofan, thank you for your very nice comment about my spell list! ;D The current game that is being referred to as D & D does seem to try to codify a lot more of the gameplay than I like. Which is one of the reasons that I prefer the early D & D versions (pre-2nd edition, by and large) and the recent OGL rewrites (OSRIC, Swords & Wizardry, and the like). I do know a number of people who play 4th Edition, and they are not especially anal-retentive or control-freakish. What they are is experienced gamers, who can make an enjoyable game pretty much regardless of the system. Regardless of whether I think that they would be better using a different system, they're having fun - and that's the important thing.

OK, Mahrundl's Big Book o' Spells (draft version) is ready to be looked at, poked at, and mercilessly torn apart. There's no artwork or anything yet, but the text is basically complete.
Anyone who wishes to proof-read or critique it should let me know an e-mail address to which it can be sent. It's in PDF format, and under 350K in size.

Mahrundi, I would be more than pleased to review your completed project. Indeed "we" have used a number of the spells you presented online in gaming sessions. I will venture to say that your ideas have been well received. However short of publishing my Email address online, I fear it will be impossible to do so, unless you or some other computer savvy individual has another idea.

Mahrundl... Open pit came into play in our game last week. I ruled that the spell had a range of 50 ft. rather than '--'. If it was a 'touch' range spell, the wizard (or rogue in this case) would most likely find himself in the pit too...
Now there's another use for this spell - instant hiding hole...

Or cast Wall of Wombats. There aint nothing that spell aint good fur. Wall of Wombats + Wall of Fire = Instant Barbecue. Just add a few kegs of Hobgoblin Ale and you've got a party. ;D
