Hi Hogscape, I've just browsed through the last version but there's a couple of things I've noticed:
No provision is made in the rules for player vs player actions (I suggest both roll, higher roll wins)
Some spells affect creatures with a certain FR or lower, how would these affect PCs (I suggest PCs make a "saving throw" at a difficulty equal to the above mentioned FR)
Last: Did the armor rules work well during play-test? they seem somewhat awkward. (No suggestions)

Hi thar Artikid.
Player versus player... You must be thinking of some other game. ;D heroes work together!
In the event that player characters do want to mix it up the players should roll their combat dice plus modifiers with the highest roller wounding the low-roller. Ties result in no wounds for that turn. Exactly as you describe.
As for spells, I like the 'saving roll' idea but spells that cause harm to targets of FR 'x' or lower simply cannot effect a player-character. PCs cannot get 'voided' for example. In the case of other spells, the standard difficulty formula of 5 + (spell level x 2) should work. The GM might also like to add the target's experience level.
As for the armour rules, yep, works a treat, I've been play-testing for yonks. Armour gives you extra hits this means no extra bookkeeping and no mechanical impact on play. Seamless.
There's no doubt that others will agree with you Artikid, but for me this was a conscious decision. This is definitely a game of player-characters versus the opposition, not each other. Sure, player characters have sometimes had a set-to with one another during play testing but we just role-play that out.
Hope that helps.

Hey, Artikid!
I added a section to the rules covering PvP... Here it is:
Player Characters as Foes On very rare occasions, one of the player characters might find him or herself the target of hostile actions by other player characters; perhaps one of the heroes has been possessed, hypnotised or framed by an arch enemy?
When the characters fight each other they each make a combat dice roll; adding any and all necessary modifiers. The character with the lowest total is wounded and loses one hit.
When a character is the target of hostile magic, it may be necessary to calculate a foe rating for that character. For ease of play, assume characters have a nominal foe rating equal to 10 + (level x 2); a first level character will therefore, have FR 12 and the sixth level veteran will be rated 22..
