I'm looking at making some books for sale on LuLu and wonder what the freight costs are. On the site they say to enter your address and they will tell you, thats fine if you're buying, not so good if you're selling. I would imagine for non-US customers (like AoE ) you would be better getting it shipped from down here. Anyone here brought LuLu POD books?

I know that if you spend a certain minimum amount, postage gets waived in the U.S., or if you have a special coupon. Outside of U.S., though, I have no idea.

I've bought quite a number of books and magazines from Lulu over the past few years. But ya know...I can't remember what the shipping usually is. I recall it's not outrageous, but neither is it cheap. Seems like the last couple of times I bought a hardback or a couple of issues of Fight On! and/or Knockspell that I paid somewhere close to $10 US.
It used to be much more expensive for those outside of the US, but in the past year or so, Lulu has connected with printers in the UK and Europe at least, making it reasonable at last.

I really do value Lulu's printing job. I think that the price of printing is factored in to shipping/handling, but I'm not sure. I looked up a receipt from them for $33.94 of books, also I live in Connecticut, and the shipping came out to be $12.98.
So, I'm open to using Lulu to print me up a book that I could otherwise only get in PDF format. I definitely prefer a book whenever possible! Beyond that though, most of my book purchases actually go through Amazon as the shipping is way cheaper, especially for Prime users.
