Hey everyone.
I've just finished working on a GM-led adventure - The Mines of Rag Mountain, using T&T 7.5 Rules. I need about 4-6 second level PC's who want to have some fun trying it out.
This adventure focuses on plotline and humor, and I think it will be a kick to play. It is not a typical dungeon-crawl. Everything you encounter is there for a reason that ties in with the overall plot of the adventure, and you should be able to pick up information as you go that will help you figure out the best course of action. There is some difficult puzzle solving involved and some challenging characters and monsters to defeat or outwit.
I estimate that it will take about 15-20 hours in Trollworld time to complete the adventure, which would be around 3-6 months in real world time if we do about a turn per day.
Let me know if you are interested in playing. If I get enough players, I'll ask Vin to start a new online game thread.

I've never done PBP before, but I'd be willing to give it a shot!

I'm interested though I don't have a copy of the 7.5 rules. Did they ever release a quick start pdf for them? I recall some discussion about it but that's all.
Keep in mind, we're coming up on major holiday season which typically results in players disappearing for a week or two here and there and not all at the same time.

Welcome! It looks like I've got 5 people tenatively, but more are welcome. Tenkkkar/Tenkar, Gaptooth, ProfGremlin, and Ivarrr and Sereous Lockkerry from Trollhalla.
I'll ask Vin to start a new thread under Online T&T Games and you can roll up characters and we can get started.

Prof, There's no quickstart / abbreviated 7.5 rules, but you can buy the complete thing in PDF from DriveThruRPG for $15: rpg.drivethrustuff.com/product_info.php?products_id=59112.

Once the thread is started, we can work out house rules, and I can guide players through mechanics as needed. I'll also post a spell list...

I'm interested though I don't have a copy of the 7.5 rules. I wouldn't think that you would need an actual copy if you're familiar with the basic game. All stats are 3d6 TARO, and the Kin multipliers are posted here. You can calculate Adds from ST, DX, LK and SP (if you use a Speed score). Pick a Talent, link it to one of your ability scores, and roll 1d to find out the bonus you get for Saving Rolls related to your Talent. I guess the only problem would be not having the equipment list, but maybe you can start out unencumbered, footloose and fancy free.

Well, I actually have structured it so that the characters show up with just their clothes, and do their equipping in town before heading in. Good news is, they can get whatever equipment they want, bad news: all on credit. Gotta pay it all back at the end.

Okay, if there is still room, I am interested. If not, no worries: I will still enjoy watching the game unfold...

Absolutely kwll, jump on in. The dungeon's fine!
Read the post in the PC Roster thread, roll up a character, and jump on in to the Dead End thread.
Glad to have you.

Thanks, I'm sure that will be great!
One little detail: the latest I have is the anniversary 7th edition. Can I use that, or are there subtle differences I should be aware of?

Well, I don't have that version, but there aren't really big differences between any of the versions. Go ahead and use it - should be plenty close. I'm going to use the v. 7.5 ruleset as the "official" rules for this game, but as with all versions of T&T there is plenty of gray area that we'll just have to figure out a house rule for.

From what I've heard, ability advancement costs in v7 costs ten times what is listed in v7.5.

true - in 7.5 100 AP x current attribute level is the cost to buy another point on that attribute
