A crude MS Paint of Rag Mountain. The town of Dead End is much farther away than drawn.

Could you be more specific? Can you see the map, but not read the squashy little words on it? Or do you just have a red X and the word "image" there?
If I connect from work (which, of course, I would NEVER do... heh heh), the images do not load for some obscure IS firewall reason. On a private connection, they load just fine. They are just jpg files. The words on the map did not translate well to jpg and it is a little blurry. They wouldn't be much help if you could read them. They say helpful things like Rag Mountain, Dead End, Brokenback Hollow Road, Fortress, and Footpath, but you could probably deduce those things from the action and descriptions that have happened so far.
I won't be revealing the locations of yet unmet dangers or goodies on maps that I post.

I would say it's probably just the little squashed words. I can see the map but it's like reading a zoomed out satellite view. MS Paint isn't that kind when it comes to inserting text. A better program would be Gimp. It's free and available from SourceForge here: The GNU Image Manipulation Program. It'll take a little getting used to as far as drawing in it though.

I'll try that out. I created all of my mine and fortress maps in QuickCad - a cheap version of AutoCad. They should come through pretty crisp when I post them.

A bit more of the caverns. Note of caution. For whatever airhead reason, North is DOWN on the caverns map. On future mines and fortress maps, north is up.

In this map, then, the double doors would be a the bottom of the image?

In this map, then, the double doors would be a the bottom of the image? Right PG. You can kind of see where it's squared off and a little bit of the area beyond.

Bitsa is about where the number 1 is. Yellow represents lantern light. Bitsa can't see the lantern, but can see a narrow vertical slice of lit wall and floor from where he is. He can make reasonable inferences about the length and shape of the tunnel and that it appears to lead to a T-intersection in an illuminated hallway.
