Okay as I may have mentioned before I have been starting to buy certain RPG products I either used to enjoy back in the 1980s or always wanted to take a look at but never got around to. Amongst these RPGs were a great many FGU games. I have been pretty much out of gaming for more than a decade (in fact more than 15 years if you don't count the brief foray into online T&T adventures from around 2000 or so) but have always kept an eye on the hobby and participating in online discussions about game design and memories of various game systems and such.
So I pop into ebay a few days ago and see a lot that includes Near mint or mint copies of several FGU boxed RPGs (Merc, Villains & Vigilantes (I already own three boxed sets of beat up/incomplete versions), Wild West, Other Suns, Daredevils (I already own one beat up boxed set) and Aftermath as well as a mint copy of TSR's Boot Hill and a few Car Wars supplements.
AND TWO copies of Mercenaries, Spies and Private Eyes along with one copy of The Adventure of the Jade Jaguar.
WOOT!
I got the whole lot for fairly cheap I think (Pretty sure that Boot Hill boxed set alone would go for half of what I paid if the guy had listed the game separately rather than in a "Lot of FGU games") .
I can't wait to get the MS&PE game as I don't remember ever actually playing it and maybe never even reading the book.
What will I do with the extra copy of MS&PE? Guess I will figure that out once I get it...

Keep it...
MSPE is a really good game. It's almost T&T-Modern... just a few minor differences.

But I will have TWO copies and both are the "Blade" versions. I will decide once I get the things I am sure but I don't see me keeping both copies...

My first reading of MS&PE wasn't all that favorable; but I'm really glad I gave it a chance! In play, its just as rockin' as T&T. I've modified the skill acquisition process (you gain your new level in direct skill points for existing skills, rather than all that book-keeping), but otherwise I run it BtB; and I love it! ;D I'll be glad to take your spare, if you're looking for a home for it.

Yeah we'll work that out. As long as I don't have to pay a massive international shipping charge I will be happy to send the extra copy to you.

Yeah and that is part of the problem. I am a habitual collector. I have probably several thousand comic books and probably 40% - 50% of them are duplicates (including 'reading copies'). I recently sold off most of my RPG collection on ebay, keeping only my T&T stuff, my remaining copy of Skyrealms of Jorune, GURPS "New Sun" (only because I am a huge Gene Wolfe fan) and a handful of boxed FGU games. But then I turn around and start buying more RPGs (some of which I will sell for profit no doubt). So I think I will send one to Willowisp if s/he (sorry I have no idea what gender you are Willo') needs it. Not like I am talking about a mint copy of the original boxed D&D set or something. I think the game can still be bought for cheap through FBI anyway.
