I’d mentioned this stuff a number of times here. I’m finally sharing. Better late than never I s’pose.

The pics are huge. This is gonna hurt. (not sure if you’ll be able to right-click and open or save the originals...I’ll look and see after I post...)

I suppose in retrospect I should have uploaded much smaller pics and then left a link to a folder in my Dropbox for you guys to grab the full resolution pics to flip through, but I’m dumb so I didn’t.

First up.
The FBI/BLADE prints of the rules. From 2nd print to 5.5. I never have found a 1st print (that I could afford). The one on the bottom left is a 1991 print. The one I had here at my side when I wanted to specifically refer to the FBI print. More on my other go-to later. There are about six Seventh Prints in there. The 5.5 is one of the first 500 signed by Ken. The three boxes are from various times. One contains a fourth print (brown cover), another contains a perfectly mint Seventh Print (as everyone knows, the one I believe to be the best and highest quality), and the other is my first FBI box, which contains a 5.5 + Caravan to Tiern + Isle of Darksmoke.

The adventures and solos. You’d think I’d have more, huh? I can tell ya, Weirdworld, Dargon’s Dungeon and Overkill took forever to find. (also, I didn’t realize until everything was put away that I’d forgotten to take the aforementioned Isle of Darksmoke and Caravan to Tiern out of the box they were in to include them here)

Odds and ends.
The Circle of Ice and Goblin Lake mini solos. A full packet of original T&T character sheets. It was from this packet’s cover piece I took the images that comprised my banner/link over at Dragonsfoot I ‘wore’ for so many years.
Also present are the Free RPG Day adventures, obviously.

Sorcerer’s Apprentice! Gosh are these things hard to get a hold of. This is clearly nowhere close to complete. Issues 4, 6, 9/10, 11, 12, 13, 14(x2), 15, 16, 17(x2).

Ahh. The Corgi books! My fave. This is more than complete.
The rule book on the far right is absolutely pristine. It’s actually sorta hard to open. The pages are still white. In the back there is a still-in-the-wrapper pack of the rules plus some of the solos. But there are two here that are important to me...

“The Soldier”. This is the one that suffered at the table all that time. This is also the one that was, and is, constantly by my side at the computer. The one I’d look up stuff and quote from here at the TrollBridge all those years as well.
A lot of that damage was already done to the book before it was the go-to for nearly everything.

Now this...this is the one. This is the first copy of T&T I ever had. So many years. I still remember when I bought it (which I wrote about here once). ...when? Glad you asked...

There. The original receipt. No kidding. November the 19th, 1990. I was 16 years old.

The hobbits. UK 2nd ed. (fifth edition shrunk, basically) box and a spare. In that spare was a page torn from...I don’t know what...some kind of fanzine. It has rules for a new T&T character type: the barbarian. Plus some stuff on new weapons or something. I should probably scan that and put it up here so you all can see...
UK 1st edition. That poor, cheaply printed little thing. So beautiful.

Since it’s so rare, I figured it would be fun to show the innards of this great little guy (UK 1st ed.). Even if you have the reprint, you’re missing out on how nice this actually looked, despite the bible-thin paper.
(Due to it’s obviously unauthorized nature, I’m not thrilled about referring to it as a ‘reprint’, but that’s the shorthand I’ll use.
That reprint messed up a number of the pages. First, we see that the first page of the reprint is actually the interior of the cover. (the borders are of course missing in the reprint too)

The illustration here is totally messed up by the reprint’s ‘formatting’, with it split in half. One side being on a right-hand page and the other half being on the following left-hand page. A shame. But here it is in it’s original glory.

I included this because the gaggle of monsters on the right are hard to make out in the reprint. In general, it’s a good example of how much damage was done to Polly Wilson’s whimsical and fairy-tale-ish illustrations. They’re amateur work, but they have a good deal of charm, and a good deal of that charm is corrupted by the shoddy reprint.

Finally, holy crap that font is the tiniest thing ever! (the second page of Ken’s discussion on making T&T your own “Postscript. Beyond the Tunnels”., and also an ad for StarWeb PBM.
