Congrats, Machfront! Now all you need to do is obtain a backup copy to keep in pristine condition (Just like buying two copies of your favourite comic with bags and boards - one to read, one to collect...) so you can use your first print as a table resource ::EvilGrin::

I can see the pictures just fine. I generally use postimage.org to put pics up as (so far) they haven't expired.
These days as with most old RPG material the costs of collecting make it prohibitive unless you get lucky. I remember hoovering up some of the stuff I have for a pound or less back in the day. Have about 10 (or more?) Rules Cyclopedias (D&D obviously) and about the same DC Heroes boxed sets (2e. 1e have a few, about a dozen of the 3e book).
Sure, some may call it a problem but back in the day - before legal pdfs - it was handy to have spares as some of the books were pretty knackered after all the use. Still have some of the original books I bought in the early eighties whenever they came out for various games but they are very fragile, held together with tape and the power of prayer, hence buying up spares.
In terms of TnT I'm a relative latecomer. Tried the Corgi rules on the group back in the day when it came out and they dismissed it as a 'silly game' so it went unplayed and unloved for a long time till I came across this site. Think I have the orange book (5e?), the tin, all the corgi books and a few other bits and pieces. Tend to go with PDFs these days as it costs less, and of course I have the unique 'split into several books' Deluxe TnT which no one else in the multiverse has. Maybe.

I used T&T exclusively for around about four or five years and my experience was that, the further back I went in editions, the better it worked…..but, as I said, that’s another thread entirely, so if we blab about it, let’s another thread. 🙂 |
