"Grog for me as well," Banoc says to the barkeeper.
Banoc ignored the comments directed toward Finn; no point in riling up the locals. He looked over the crowd to see if there were any familiar faces, in particular any that he could recall from the evening of their run-in with the smoke creatures.

"Two silvers? Bah....would need to be good 'nuff for that money. I'd want a taste 'o it first." Noting the others laughing, I said, "Only 'cus I chewed it off when a pilum hit it." Grinning at my own joke, I looked back at the bartender. Finnegan: L1LKSR. Dice roll: 5 + 1 + LK 14 = 20. Success! AP gained: 6.The barman glares and mutters angrily under his breath, but grudgingly pours Finnegan a thimbleful of a dark, smoky-looking liquor. Finnegan looks at it suspiciously, then tips it down his neck. It's rough as dragon-scales and feels like it's taken a fair amount of the lining of his throat with it, but a warm, strong sensation ignites in his stomach and pushes its way up, filling the Hobbit with a satisfactory, contented glow. It'll do...

The Black Cockerel, Seedy side of Kendor [OOC] Flick casts Sense on the immediate surroundings and readies Call of the Wild Flick: L1LKSR. Dice roll: 2 + 1 = FUMBLE! Oh, dear... Whether it be the restriction of his confinement in Master Ho's dark, cramped pack, the general tension raised by probably-hostile surroundings or the dark machinations of his Curse, who knows? But Flick's casting rapidly spirals out of his limited control... The fairy mageling grits his teeth as he feels the power surge wild, sweat beading his forehead as he tries to rein in it, but to no avail. Instinctively, if pointlessly, he ducks, sending a despairing prayer to the Mother that the consequences of his folly be not too extreme... As slowly, almost imperceptibly at first, Master Ho's pack begins to glow a pleasant shade of luminous green...

"By Holemaker's Balls, that stuff's more potent than I thought! Seeing green, I am!" I say, attempting to dissuade the crowd. "A glass, if you'd please," as I flip him two silvers.

Seeing his pack turn bright green, Master Ho understands how problematic the situation is. He immediately makes a mental call to a spirit of light to come to his aid, and illuminate the tip of his quarterstaff as well in an attempt to divert attention to himself.
[OOC: casts Will-o-wisp on his quarterstaff]

De Morsac is using his tracker skills to try and carry on the mission. Can I ask for a little more detail of what precisely our bold tracker is doing, please? De Morsac tries to detect any hostile move directed towards the adventurers' group and is looking for any clue (based on what he sees, smells, hears, feels, and suspects instinctively) as to the whereabouts of the missing torc, the human girl called Teres, and the Leprechaun Sorcha.

[OOC: casts Will-o-wisp on his quarterstaff] Master Ho sends out his call to the spirits of light... L1CHASR. Dice roll: 4 + 4 (doubles add and re-roll) + 2 + 5 + CHA 15 = 30. Emphatic success! AP gained: 15+1 for spell-casting. Master Ho's STR now 14.[/color] The shaman's staff begins to glow with an ethereal light, a different shade to his glowing pack, but equally as luminescent. There is a growl of suspicion and disquiet as the crowd around him draws back a little. "'Ere! Wos' your game?" snarls the old barkeeper, squinting at the rune-engraved staff and its equally-illustrated wielder; "No magic at the bar! Pack it in right now!" (DM rolls to see how the patrons react and how successful Master Ho has been in drawing attention away from the fumbling Flick... )

Cowering inside a glowing satchel, inside the Black Cockerel, Seedy side of Kendor Flick ducks lower and does his level best to burrow under something, anything that will hide him from view if the flap on Master Ho's satchel is lifted. He pulls this and that around until he is as concealed as he can be in such circumstances. The faerie stills his breathing and the trembling of his wings, attempting to become as silent as possible. Ever so slowly, Flick peaks around the edge of his barricade. The luminous green emanates from the material of the satchel itself as if - somehow - Flick's attempt to sense magic had actually suffused the pack with the mystical energy rather than simply detecting its ambience. Unsure of what to do next, the little wizard's eyes rivet upon the inside of the flap and wait.

Master Ho puts up his best smile, and replies to his friend Nebless: "Not at all, not at all. I found the place to be rather dark, and wanted to appreciate the details a little more. Let's not a bit of obscurity go in the way of cordiality after all." Turning to the barkeeper, he adds: "No magic? But don't you know that magic is everywhere in this world?"
