It launches today. For those who got one, any thoughts on the execution? Those who didn't but still may play the game or consider a future purchase, your thoughts? Our own perspectives could, should be informative and perhaps yield something to help the future of T&T.

I'm planning to pick one up after work if they still have any. My understanding is that it moves more in a direction that some people have suggested T&T should move, where it's all about the ability checks (or "saving rolls" in Old Trollish). Kinda like my game too, in that respect. They've mentioned some interesting mechanics, some of which, like you said, might be of interest from a T&T development perspective.

Grab the printer friendly version instead - media.wizards.com/downloads/dnd/DnDBasicRules(PrinterFriendly).pdfThestandard ( non "printer-friendly") version is obfuscated - some of the characters are moved from the U+30—U+255 range into the private use area U+100030—U+100255. Which breaks search and also breaks text-to-speech. I've spot checked the Printer friendly (several pages) and found none, while the same pages were partially obfuscated in the standard. |

I had no problems with the pdf in the link I provided but good to have options.
