Say hello to my little friend! This is a beast from one of the third-party monster counters for The Fantasy Trip, and I've been aching to stat this lil' darling up for ages. Ophion MR 150 A snake-centaur, 35' long, with the human section about 6' tall. Commonly wields a huge spiked club, shield and wears a crested helm. Activated ability is 3/Spit venom for an additional 2d6 damage (may be dodged on a level 2 save vs DEX). Eminently suitable for a Labyrinth-style Greek/Roman adventure!

For a 16-dice monster, 3 sixes or more would occur 51.32 percent of the time, or roughly once every two rolls. Isn't that pretty often? "4/effect" would be roughly one-in-four at 27.09 percent. I'd also make the venom the save-or-die variety to really frighten the PCs!
Very cool creation! I may pinch this for my own use.

It is pretty frequent - but there is the SR to dodge it, so it's less powerful than it might be. Requiring 4 sixes but with save or die venom would definitely add to the tension!
I must say, the name 'snake-centaur' always makes me ponder whether it should be a human torso on a snake body or a snake head on a horse body... Imagine a herd of the latter!
