Master Ho pushes the door open and slides through, de Morsac following close behind. He sees the approaching ruffians curse and attempt to break into a run towards them, but the press of the crowd is impeding their progress (though not for much longer, as the Pit is now clearing.)
Jasani takes in the approaching thugs, gives a squeak of alarm and slips in straight after Master Ho.
Meanwhile, Nebless and company march straight through the Cockerel's bar, none of the locals looking to be over-keen on trying to stop them, and emerge once more into the filth and darkness of the Kendor backstreets.
(The Dust Bunnies glare hungrily at Flick, but withhold their murderous assault for now...)
If Mel is still waiting for us outside in the alley we'll sweep her up too, but even if she's not we'll head towards the Dragon's Eye Inn to re-group and wait for the rest of the group. Anyone get's in our way, their loss.
While touching a circle-shaped tattoo on his forehead, Master Ho attempts to attract the attention of a Spirit of Light in order to invoke his help. He is moving along the corridor at the same time, slowly but surely.
Master Ho casts Mage Candle. L1CHASR. Dice roll: 5 + 2 + CHA 14 = 21. Success! AP gained: 7 + 1 for spell casting. Master Ho's STR down to 9.
The shaman makes his summons and finds the spirits willing. The tip of his staff begins to glow with an eerie blue-white light. The corridor stretches ahead for approximately 30' before ending in a stout-looking wooden door. The floor is wooden and unvarnished and the smell of freshly-cut wood is in the air.
Meanwhile, de Morsac shoves the door closed and looks around frantically for a lock or bolt of some kind, only to note with alarm he can see no sign of one. He also hears the drumming of footfalls on the other side, drawing rapidly closer.
Not knowing what else to do, our brawny Khamadi puts his shoulder to the door and endeavours to hold it shut as the first hammer-like blow falls on the far side...

The door shudders under the blow but holds fast. So far.
O.O.C: Can I please ask anyone who hasn't updated their character sheets as a result of Levelling Up to please do so. It makes it a lot easier for me to keep track of things. Kwll, can I ask you to please confirm where Master Ho is assigning his Level 2 characteristic increase? Many thanks.

Meanwhile Nebless and company exit the tavern and stalk out into the filthy, unlit alleyways beyond, ignoring the crowd of curious onlookers crammed in the Black Cockerel's doorway, watching their departure...
Master Ho turns around for a while, and figures his friend De Morsac might require a little help. Once again the shaman touches one of his tattoo, in the shape of a half circle, and calls upon the will of a spirit of Stasis. He will try to convince it to lock the door for him, freeing the young warrior from this task.
OOC: Casts Lock Tight! on the door De Morsac is trying to keep closed. Master Ho will increase his luck whenever possible thanks to his level increase.
