& voted! There were several categories for which I could not offer an opinion, but was pleased to be able to vote for Terry Pratchett and Jim Butcher as well as the most Deluxe version of the worlds best RPG.
Like zanshin, I wasn't aware of a lot of items on the ballot. But one thing I do know and love is the "roguelike" game Darkest Dungeon by Red Hook studios. Darkest Dungeon embraces one of the classic T&T tropes: the stable of throwaway dungeon fodder characters!
"Most of the people in Phoenix currently playing the game have between three and fifteen characters in their stable. Thus, if one or two of them get killed on any particular expedition, they are not too heartbroken, and are able to carry on with hardly a pause." —Ken St. Andre, 1975.
