Dirk the Dice has just released the second of his podcasts looking at T&T, The Grognard Files. This episode features an interview with me, in which I rattle on for too long about the game. Includes a snippet of audio from a game of Monsters! Monsters! and possibly the shortest "actual play" adventure in history.

Well, apart from expecting a Geordie accent from you bigjackbrass, I really enjoyed that episode of The Grognard Files. Not sure why I thought you were a native of the Northeast. I particularly identify with the way players of TOG etc.. looked down on T&T players

I must have sensed the Northwest essence somehow. I'm an adopted Midlander having gone to University in Birmingham and now living in Derbyshire, quite close to the Staffordshire border.

I got up to the end of the interview with BJB during a long hike with the dog.
The file was so huge I couldn't properly play it on my MP3 player. I'll have to finish this it up at home.

Imagine how big it would have been if Dirk hadn't edited it

It does seem to be a little large of a file for only 90+ minutes. But, it isn't that large. What are you using as a player? It'll give me something to listen to this weekend.

It isn't a standard mp3 file. A "m4a" or something like that. My cheap pocket mp3 player can play it, but had trouble finding the spot where I left off, and fast-forwarding was as slow as just playing it.
(I think my cheap mp3 player was optimized for 3 minute songs!)
In any case, the deskstop music / audio utiltities I have played it jsut fine. Well worth listening to!

I've been listening to the podcast that covers other games as well. It's quite addicting!

M4a is the current standard, but mp3 is still the predominantly used format. Most players made in the last 10 or so years should play it.
As for length, yeah, a lot of players from back in the day didn't handle long format media. I would look into an old Android phone. They're cheap used, and make good media devices.
