Hi All:
Are there any active play by post (or email) communities for T&T fans? It seems that sites like rpol.net, roll20, myth weathers, unseen servant, etc (all good sites) are mostly dominated by D&D interest seemingly with few if any T&T players. It's my understanding there is some history with T&T and play by email games (Rick Loomis and Ken Andre games.) And a long time ago, I saw talk of a mailing list called "Blue Frog Tavern", which was play by email T&T; but that seems to have fallen into oblivion (is it still around?) I also see there are a couple active games here on Troll Bridge, which might be fun to join if they are accepting.
I ask because I'm thinking of starting a game. Preferably with a dice roller so players can roll their saves, although I (GM) would probably do all the combat rolls to save time. Although joining an existing game also sounds fun.
I ran several small classic D&D games with friends over the years. I also ran a classic D&D campaign on roll20 with several committed players for a couple of years; but after finally finishing the campaign (the players stuck with me the whole way), I got burned out from all the prep work and the lengthy combat resolution and time commitment. I took a long break and now I'm getting back into T&T instead.
P.S. Though I'm talking gm adventures, I'm a huge fan of solo rpgs (lone wolf, fighting fantasy, and t&t solos) and I'm happy to see people's active development of T&T solos in the forums as well.
Thank you in advance ~ Sean

I'm playing in 2 right now. There's one played here by Falconius I'm sure you could join in with.
I'm pretty much always up for either playing a game or running one and I don't mind what rule set, setting or style.

Blue Frog Tavern is a Yahoo! group; it's very quiet these days.
If you want to run a game here, we can set you up a board in the Online T&T Games section of the forum.

Thanks for the information and for the offer. I'll check out the TrollBridge online games and continue to work on arranging a good adventure to run. Thanks again.

Blue Frog Tavern is a Yahoo! group And while nothing new has been posted on the site since the last adventure finished. I'm sure if you advertised a game there you'd get players. Maybe pick here or there for the game and then advertise for the game on the both sites. While I'm sure there are cross-over players watching both, there could be some that are just on one or the another.

khaboom and tp have you already played The Dungeon of the Bear or the gm adventures in Flying Buffalo's Adventurers Compendium? I played some of the DoB a while back but I'd be up for more of that timeless classic. You need a very big bludgeon to beat nostalgia. I've read through the others but not played them - too lazy to follow text, I always end up making things up

Sounding real good. I'm getting a hold of those adventures and some others from TrollZine mags to see what I can make work. It will take me a little time to prepare, but hopefully I can work my way though a good hunk this coming weekend. Due to my schedule it may be a little bit slower of a game -- 2 plus GM posts per week I'm guessing (?) It looks like some of the other online games here are happy to trust the players to do their own saving rolls, but I also found this (see link) which we could use as well if we wish www.coyotecode.net/roll/ I'm also used to the idea of allowing players to attempt to run from monsters (given a save-roll and/or penalty), so I'll probably house rule that. In the mean time, I'll look for a way to start a game room. I might check with mahrundl too -- thanks! tp khaboom Sounds like I'll need to start learning everyone's names @werrrdna and darrght I think so; so far so good.

Good stuff.
In terms of SRs - might be worth rolling these yourself and narrating the outcome in order to keep the pace. This just means that several posts from others could be instead a single post from you.
