I can't seem to find any examples in the drivethrurpg version, is this one of those times GM's are supposed to wing it, sort of like the bestiary?

If you PM me your email I can send you a random magic item generator I created. I think it is also still in a thread on the site if you search hard enough.

Thank you Mahrundl - I see it's writing predated the unfortunate events of times past, but I am still quite pleased with the tables. Certain views I express in that thread I no longer hold, but hindsight truly is 20/20. Trollszine was a very happy product of moving on.

I was just glancing over the tables quickly, and noted this: Having glanced only as far as the opening parenthesis, I interpreted it as the cost to buy the spell, not cast it. I could see a unscrupulous Rogue being run out of town, or a Wizard booted out of the Guild, when the effects of the potion wore off...

Very imaginative interpretation - my poorly worded intention was to reduce the casting cost

I remember seeing your table in a certain fanzine and thinking how good it was, thanks for pointing the way to it zanshin and mahrundl; splendid fellows both I think you shouldn't be too hard on your self, my friend, many, perhaps all of us, thought as you did about that fanzine and other products. We are wiser now
