Since they were introduced in 7th edition, Specialist Types have always been flexible and open to the creative input of players and GMs. The concept even spawned a supplement by James Desborough.
But Deluxe T&T offers more examples of Specialists than ever before: Strong One (STR), Sensitive (CON), Ranger (DEX), Martial Artist (SPD), Mastermind (INT), Specialist Mage (WIZ), Gambler (LCK), and Leader (CHA).
I'm curious if anyone here has played or seen any of the Deluxe Specialist Types in play? If so, what do you think?
If you haven't seen them in play, but you've read the section closely (12.2, pp172–175), I'd love to hear your thoughts about the example Specialists. How would you judge the trade-off between the perks you would expect and the additional complexity of including them. Do you have reasons for not including them, or did they just never come up?
