In this room, there what appears to be two doors to the east of the room and a stone statue on the west wall. The stone figure is a 10' tall with the likes of a king -- King Axton perhaps? He is rather wild-looking, with a long beard and streams of unkempt hair bursting from beneath a twin-horned helm (all carved in the stone, of course.) Additional carvings show the figure bears a shield and lance, and has a double-edged axe strapped at his waist. The statue is carved from the very rock of the dungeon, and appears to be joined to the stone flush at its back. What's more is the torch light catches the shimmer of a large red round and flat shinny rock (ruby?). It is in the center of the statue's chest.

"Don't like the look of that fella, Telf. Knew a man once who looked like that - he used throw gnomes into ponds! Let's whack him before he comes alive and starts chasing after my gnomes!"

Dumfis looks around for anything out of place. The only thing he notices is that the ruby stone is not especially branded into the statue -- it might be loose enough dislodge.
Wherever Funklebun moves, the statue seems to be looking right at him... but perhaps that is just an illusion.

"Should we try the doors Sahib's? After all the statue isn't going anywhere and we can take care of it on the way out".

"Hmmmm... that's true. Doors can be tricky things! Let's hurl them open, all at the same time."

Telfur smiles at his impetuous young friend. "Perhaps one at a time would be a better course to take? While I applaud your enthusiasm Funk, we've made it this far by being cautious, I think. Why don't you choose one of the doors to open and the rest of us can stand prepared to cope with whatever we find in the chamber beyond?"

"OK, Telf. Plan B then. Let's do things right. Somethings are better left to the end."
Funklebun opens the door on the right after listening at it first and then examining all the way round the frame.

"Aiiieeeee! We're not ready!" Dumfis cries out as he rushes into position to cover the door with a Javelin.

Funklebun does not hear any noise and the the door frame shows no obvious traps. With Dumfis at the ready, they peek in...
The small storage-like room is filled with various unadorned storage receptacles and crates. Some of the crates are left open, revealing mostly wooden utensils and aged clothing. But the torch light is not enough to see behind every box, at least not without further investigation.
The dwarves of the group notice that the wall to the north is not smooth stone, but rather a fortified wall with some wooden frame and random rocks; it is akin to the wall of a mine shaft.

"Funklebun, Slow Down!", "Aieee, crazy, crazy". "Friend Telfu would you take the torch and check out the room we just opened, while I keep an eye on Friend Funklebun here?".

Telfur takes the torch from Dumfis and takes his time to thoroughly examine the first storeroom.

Lazarus takes a closer look at the ruby. It is large and red and ever so shiny. He notices that there is a thin spacing about it, perhaps a point of which it could be dislodged from the stone-figure with the correct tool.
Funklebun makes his way for the other door... but Dumfis and Telfur step further into the storeroom first...
As the dark corners of the storeroom are lit by torch light, to the amazement our warrior and the dwarf rogue, they discover behind a large box, what appears to be perfectly well kept life-like gnomes. There are well over a dozen of them and they appear to be frozen in place.

"Friend Funklebun, come look at what we found" Dumfis calls back out of the room.
