Hi there, fellow trolls! I've been roaming the dark tunnels of Wayback Machine in search of Gobling Crag, the almost classic T&T Dungeon by Andy Holmes. So far I have found the text for levels 1, 2, 3 & 4, as well as the GM maps for levels 1 & 2. That leaves me with 2 missing maps: levels 3 & 4. It seems there's no way of finding them, as far as Wayback Machine is concerned. Does anyone have them? May they share them please? Does Mr. Andy Holmes himself read this? I would love to run this dungeon soon! Thanks in advance and good trolling for all!

I have them and I'm happy to share if you give me an email address. I'm in touch with Andy from time to time and I'm sure he'd be delighted to hear of a foray into Goblin Crag. It is the undisputed king of dungeons! It might well be a while before you get to Levels 3 and 4 though. We played many years ago and the survivors of that epic still feature as high-ranking npcs in our Trollworld.

Well, thanks to khaboom I do have the missing maps now. Then I downloaded the Italian version (maps included) of Goblin Crag, so I could rebuild the whole dungeon from those separate sources. A little fun detective work, and it seems it's totally worth it!
As a side note, I think Mr. Holmes should make the dungeon available for the general public once again. There are no many great GM adventures for Tunnels & Trolls, and this seems to be one of the best regarded...

That would be great-- Also, there are a few adventures and maps from The Hobgoblin's Tavern that can't be accessed with WaybackMachine: "Dungeonhack", "The Old Tomb", "Atankhat's Monument", "Maximilian's Dungeon"-- Are they archived anywhere? It would be a shame if they were lost forever!

Hey, Titus, there are a few Yahoo! Groups that have some files you may find interesting: RadioFreeTrollWorld, BlueFrogTavern, TrollBridgeFiles. The downside is that I don't see any of the items you mentioned in their file upload section. I would echo Mahrundl above and see if Tavernmaster Games has the means to pass a message along to Mr. Holmes. That way, we can include Mr. Holmes, the publisher he's currently working with (DriveThruRPG, Pay What You Want, anyone?) and possibly get these old gems back in circulation.

It would be a shame if they were lost forever! As I recall, Boozer suffered a hard drive failure some years back, leaving him without a local copy of the Hobgoblin's Tavern site files. The provider hosting the Hobgoblin's Tavern pages and files disappeared not long after, before Boozer had downloaded the online version. I provided him with copies that I had archived for my own use - a somewhat reflexive tendency that I developed when I noticed sites that I liked disappearing - so he has a lot of what was there up to about 8 or 9 months prior to the site vanishing. And I don't think that he had put a lot of new stuff up in the intervening time. The 4 items that you mention, assuming that what you call "Maximilian's Dungeon" is what I know as "Maximillian's Mansion", were all in that archive. So Boozer should have them (barring other data loss in the interim). If he doesn't, I still have copies that I can send if he gives the OK. I won't share them around without that approval though, so if you do want copies, you'll need to contact him.

I have never joined a Yahoo group, but in this case it seems worth it. For some reason I'm fascinated with homebrew and non official T&T adventures produced in the 90s and early 2000s. A lot of that stuff has disappeared from the web in the last years or is in the process of disappearing; it would be great to preserve it before it's too late. Thanks for the info!

You are indeed correct khaboom, I do know; no message other than a ton of spam has appeared in the TavernMaster inbox. titus I will message you directly with Boozer's email address so you can contact him yourself.
