Have a look on eBay for it. You should be able to find a copy for under a tenner, probably shrink-wrapped.
It's not in any way scarce and that Amazon price is probably down to an algorithm rather than anyone actually believing it will sell for that much.

I'll steal a copy and get it to you for half that price!

It is just another module, and one that had a decent sized print run, as far as I know. There has been a significant amount of price inflation on older T & T merchandise generally in the last few years, at least in the large online sellers. Possibly due to T & T's increased visibility with Deluxe and the MetaArcade application, possibly due some perception that it's gotten old enough to be rare and valuable, possibly people just trying their luck to make a quick <local_monetary_unit>, perhaps even just inflation - I really don't know. But $2500 for Rat on a Stick is ridiculous. A copy of T & T 2nd Edition and the Supplement, both of which are among the rarer items that you're likely to encounter, went for US $1,225.00 around 12 months ago on eBay - much more than I could justify paying, even though I'd really like to get my hands on them. I note in your Amazon link that there are used copies going for around $25. That's far more like the price that I'd expect to see, and even then it you'd probably be paying more than you'd need to. Here's one that showed up in one of my recent searches: Rat on a Stick - US $9.99 plus postage. I agree with bigjackbrass that it's probably an algorithmic hiccup of some kind.

Thanks, snagged!
I was mostly concerned there might be some sooper-dooper-pooper-scooper edition that was "better" than the ordinary edition. Thanks for all the input!

I found this recipe for Rat On A Stick by Pixie Bledsaw on the wayback machine. I think it would be a shame for this to fade into obscurity so here it is for current T&T fans.

I scored a Rat on a Stick module on eBay for $10US. It arrived yesterday. What a sparkling idea. I've run similar items in my own dungeons but I never thought about allowing PCs to open their own franchise. Nice idea.
