Been out of touch for more than a week. First, I was in horshpital, then littlest brother texted me that Mom had her 4th stroke (!) worse than ever, we ran to Oklahoma to her, saw she lost almost half of her brain to this, saw her recovering and relearning walking and talking - then littlest brother gave Cherie and me his flu so we're not allowed to see her. More as soon as we stop coughing our lungs out.

Really sorry to hear all this. My mother had a bad stroke 3 years ago, it's horrible. Hope you recover your strength and share your wit and wisdom with us once more.

All good thoughts with you and your family. I'd say that to just about anyone but for you it is a heartfelt wish because you are, always have been and always will be a (wrong-voting) diamond shining brightly.
Double-sixes 24/7.

Update, even a brief one: Back in Texas, recovering albeit slowly from the Northern Flu which kept me from seeing Mom her last two days in ICU. She's recovering in rehab now, relearning English and walking and generally never staying in her room. (She likes visiting every patient on her floor.) It was her 4th stroke, it erased half her brain, she's 19 years older than me, and I should only be as active as her!

Glad to hear your mother has such spirit after the stroke. Hope your own recovery continues apace so you can see her and you can continue to bring your energy to our bridge.
