Here you go:
Dark Temple Errata - January 2020
1) On page 58, Encounter table A, result 12, "A Campsite," currently sends the character to 242. It should lead to 282.
2) The last part of Para 75 should read:
"If you decide to intervene, see Para 58. If you leave by heading north to the plain, see Para 11. If you'd rather head for the body of water in the distance, see Para 189."
3) Split off the first sentences of 362. (Up to the end of "The man screams and topples to the floor . . .")
Let us call these 362 A and 362 B
362A ends with "Turn to 362B"
Corrections in other paragraphs:
365 would lead to 362 A
339 and 376 would lead to 362 B.
4) Paragraph 32. Should be 62 rather than 61.
5) Paragraph 46. The right branch goes to 7, the left branch to 26.
6) Paragraph 69. The die results are wrong:
1-2 go to 56
3-5 go to 52
6 or more, go to 83
7) PARA263:
Add this:
Only four of the noble's seven followers are armed for combat. The guards need to beat a L2SR vs a DX of 12 (roll of 13 or greater) to hit you with their hunting bows (2d damate).
8) PARA316: The penalty for failing the riddle contest challenge should be to turn to PARA 234, not 348.
9) PARA380: "If you are alone, the giants know better than to get in each other's way, and you need only fight them one at a time."
10) PARA96: The phoenix's talons (4d+5) and beak (2d) are separate weapons.
If used together, the phoenix gets 6d + 5 plus its combat adds (from attributes).
When fighting flying creatures, it can use its beak alone as a 6d spearing weapon.
When fighting magical creatures immune to normal weapons, it must rely on its beak alone (2d).
11) PARA302:
There are six dancers, but only three of them can fight at a time.
Whoops, found some more.
* PAGE 9:
PARA 48: OK, this is optional, but I'd really like a "fix" in this paragraph. I used this paragraph in two paths, and there's a sentence that doesn't make sense in one of them.
I'd like to DELETE this sentence:
"You find it hard to believe that this old man, who you just tried to kill, expects you to take up his mission."
And replace:
"You start to laugh, but are . . . " with "You are . . ."
PARA 72: Please change "If you leave the alcove,see Para 116" to " . . . see Para 54." (Makes more sense.)
* PAGE 14:
PARA 90: Sorry. A mistake I didn't spot earlier. Third bullet point. Instead of "Mug someone," "Find someone."
* PAGE 20:
PARA 148: I'm sorry. This paragraph has a problem I didn't spot earlier. Corrected second result:
"On a 4-5, the guard leaves the room, telling you to stay put. An alarm sounds; you have time to check out one cell at Para 120, the see 95."
* PAGE 23:
PARA 164: Needs a clarification. Last sentence: "You have time to open one more cell at Para 120, then must turn to 95."
* PAGE 29:
PARA 207: Sorry . . . I used this paragraph on two "paths" and as a result it is confusing. New version of paragraph:
PARA 207: You emerge on the roof to find a large, sickly-looking griffin waiting for you. "About time, it mutters, I was waiting for you." The creature tells you that even noble beasts of the air will be affected by the evil the cult could wreak -- with or without Yastri Kroll in charge -- if it comes into possession of the Phoenix Scroll. "We must band together to retrieve it and put it in responsible hands," says the griffin, " are you in?" If you refuse the griffin's please, see Para 24. If you climb on the creature's back and tell him to procede, see Para 194.
PARA 208: Sorry . . . the first sentence should read "You are on the western shore of a . . ." Not "eastern."
* PAGE 34:
PARA 247: The second link ("On a 5-6, see Para 281") should be Para 271.
PARA 346: "turn to Para 374." should be "turn to Para 387."
* PAGE 59:
Table C, "Dragon on Maneuvers" The first choice should be Para 242, not Para 282.
