That actually sounds really neat. Soon we'll be able to run games from the Golden Age of Superheroes: The Phantom, The Shadow, Starman, The Rocketeer, and all those others that my java-deficient Cranial Processing Unit can't access right now.
I'll have the deep-fried battered pixie with balrog dipping sauce and a Hobgoblin ale.
Lone Ranger, Zorro, the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, would work too. You could throw in the Lucha Libre from our southern neighbors, Yeti/Bigfoot ... the possibilities are endless!
I think that particular era is superheroes would be a great deal of fun to base a campaign around, or supplement an existing MSPE campaign. Especially fun, you can come up with a really corny names for any new heroes you create and they would just fit right in with the guys that already exist in popular media from that day.
Piper, not that it matters but do you know why she went with Peryton Press?
I'll answer with a FB quote from her in response to the same question: "The fact that Peryton can get it done in two weeks, and can do print on demand as opposed to pdf only made the difference for me. Ken is busy with numerous projects"
Thessaly Chance Tracy posted to FB a link to the Peryton Press 'blog. I'll be frank, I'm not exactly sure what the writer of this post was aiming to achieve, but if you want to read the latest news on Tracy's upcoming and much-anticipated M!M! supplement Uprising at the Buzzards Gulch Monster Rez this is the link to click on:
Thanks for that. It sounds like the supplement is as good as I'd expect from devadasi.
As for the rest of the post, which seems to be mostly Tom's viewpoint on various matters (and it's his blog so that's fair enough), I have no real comment. Lots of stuff there, some of it seems rather unclear to me.
Anyway, I really hope that someone publishes Uprising, one way or another.
More from Thessaly about her upcoming M!M! Supplement. I let her tell you in her own words (sic):
So i can finally share with you Simon Lee Tranter’s cover for book 1 of what is expected to be an ongoing, adventure supported series. For length and editing reason this book will contain the setting, the maps, the NPCs and countless adventure seeds and hooks.
The adventure (completely written and edited) BEATDOWN AT BIG BATTLE RIDGE will be a second book entirely. It will be released VERY shortly after UPRISING (like within a few weeks...their seperation was a matter of good design). Then DESPERATELY SEEKING PLUMB GORGEOUS, in which the monsters seek to kidnap the most beautiful girl in all the land, will be released like Midsomer. We will keep releasing consecutive adventures till people are tired of buying them
We want to be to the new M!, M!, ruleset what Dark Sun was to 2e TOG. The setting everyone wanted to play in.
On a personal note? I've played in this campaign and it's a lot of fun. I endorse this product and, if you've an interest in M!M! at all you should have this one in your bag of tricks.
