In preparation for my first solo, heck my first anything with regard to T&T, I'm going to create my first character EVER! I'm using dT&T this time around since I have a physical copy of the ruleset at hand. If anything is off or if I missed anything, feel free to chime in and correct/remind me. And we're off!
My initial roles, 3d6 for each. 9 10 14 10 12 12 13 15* Yes! I rolled three 5's. Good rolls and an unexpected TARO though that means being a specialist and more rules to read up on. I suppose I shouldn't look up the mouth of a gift horse, eh?
I want to play a Warrior, something easier to play before grappling a wizard and his spells. So I'm going to rearrange the stats to suit.
STR: 15 CON: 12 DEX: 14 SPD: 12
IQ: 10 WIZ: 9 LK: 13 CHR: 10
So, the TARO roll for Strength is a 7 total, thereby bumping STR to 22. Dang.
I love playing dwarves and it is usually my default race to play. Jumping ahead in the book, I see there are two sub-races of dwarves among the Kindred. I chose the Midgard as I'd rather leave my Luck as is. Charisma, i'm all meh. Here are my stats after race modifiers for a Midgard dwarf...
STR: 44 CON: 24 DEX: 14 SPD: 12
IQ: 10 WIZ: 9 LK: 13 CHR: 8
WTF? 44 Strength? Is this wack?
For height I rolled a 14 (74") and I chose 220 for the dwarf's weight, modified to dwarf stats of 50" (4'2") and 150 lbs.
Weight Possible: 4400. Uuuuuh...thats roughly 2 metric tons. Ok.
Weight Carried: TBD
Gold:13x10=130 gp
So let's get this done. Introducing...
Loin, son of Groin
Type: Warrior (Specialist) Level: 1 Gender: Male
Kindred: Dwarf, Midgard Height: 4'2"
Weight: 150 lbs Hair: Red
STR: 44 CON: 24 DEX: 14 SPD: 12
IQ: 10 WIZ: 9 LK: 13 CHR: 8
Combat Adds: +35 Adventure Points:
WT Poss: 4400 WT Carried: TBD
Gold: 130
Equipment:
TBD
Going to look up the specialist section while reviewing equipment to buy.
