The cracking of the scorpion's hard shell would appetize many a large creature. Take that you Fiend from Lando, a good hacking from Khaboom and followed a crunching stab by The Dart proved nearly too much for the hunting creature. Even Jarro, the fairy, got in a shot that would no doubt destroy the mightest warrior of his kindred.
The thing still has some life, if only by instinct. Let the fates decide the final round it would seem.
The once frightful scorpion becomes nothing but goo as the last of the attack is layed upon it. It crackles and gurgles giant insect meat up to the sky, nearly missing Jarro as a result. To the ruins remain, stark reminder of the task at hand, flowing from the blasted crater, the dust settling thicker and more choking with each moment. It would appear that nothing appears in the immediate. But alas only the crater knows for sure.
Jarro flits above the remains of the Giant Scorpion. He turns to his companions and with a self-satisfied grin on his face states in matter-of-fact tones, "Thanks for your help gentlemen. I couldn't have bested the creature without your help. Now, I suppose we have to make a plan of attack with regard to the castle"
"No rest for the wicked, so they no doubt wisely say, nor for the airborn. I think we need to ask you, Jarro, to spread your wings again and bring us back vital information. Perhaps we had better hide while you scout things out. What say you others?"
